The plane crash.
Reason: The irony that it happened over Walt's house and he witnessed it, yet he had had no clue as to the chain of events that led to it.

user-pic

4 Days out - Jesse is spilling fuel on the portable generator while trying to fill the gas tank. Jesse struggles to start the generator and Walt rags on him, telling him not to pull the starter like a Girl. Jesse gives Walt that F-you look and try's again to start it, there is an explosion and the Generator is on fire. Walt runs into the RV followed by Jesse. Jesse emerges first, followed by Walt. Jesse then dumps all their remaining drinking water on the fire, as Walt watches in horror holding a fire extinguisher. This had me rolling on the ground howling like a mad dog, now that was some funny shit...

user-pic

The entire second episode, really--but specifically, the gunfight at the end. After so many depressing events, that one was such a victory! And what a defining moment for Hank....

default userpic

When Walter lets Jane die of a heroine overdose even though he could have saved her life. This is my favorite moment because it shows Walter crossing a moral threshold from which he can never return in much the same way that his killing of Krazy 8 in season one did.

default userpic

I would have to go with the scene in episode 4 where Jesse decides to seek shelter in the 'Bago, then proceeds to fall through the top of a Port-A-Potty. I can't remember a time where I laughed so hard, but felt so bad for a character at the same time. Even typing this now, I am grinning, but still feel so bad for the guy.

default userpic

I might have to say the scene where Walter bears all in the supermarket. With that "plan" of his, he really showed how far he is willing to go to keep his secret; even at the expense of his family and his own dignity.

default userpic

It would have to be "Peekaboo" when Walt meets up with Gretchen at the restaurant and tells her "fuck you". Walt has kept in his anger toward her for many, many years and him finally being able to be so blunt was great. It's amazing that it took cooking meth for Walt to finally express his feelings.

default userpic

It would have to be "Peekaboo" where Walt and Gretchen meet up at the restaurant and he says, "F*** you." Walt has kept in his anger toward her for many, many years and him finally being able to stand up for himself was great. It's amazing that it took cooking meth for Walt to be more aggressive about things. I also love the little insight into Walt's history that is barely ever talked about and how his life turned out the way it did.

user-pic

"Peekaboo," when "the skank" conks Jesse over the head with something and the little red-haired boy Jesse has befriended touches his own head, as if feeling Jesse's pain.

default userpic

The scene where Walter leaves Jane to choke and die. And he just watches her till she dies.
The reason: I found it to be the true transformation between the old Walter and the new Walter, he had fully changed by then. It was the cruelest thing he'd ever done. He was wiling to go very very far just to get what he wants the way he wants it.

user-pic

I love the moment with Jesse and Walt in the classroom together and Jesse is asking for his share of the money. Both have changed so much by this point as well as their realationship. The bond that was forming between them has been put on the back burner as they say.Walt is mad at Jesse for being a junkie, for making him miss his daughter's birth, for coming to the school, and Jesse is strung out with no concern that they almost blew the deal becuase he was high. They both are indifferent to each other at this moment. It's not until later that Walt remembers that he cares about this kid..... ,alot, but he sure doesn't rememeber that when Jesse walks into that classroom.

user-pic

My jaw dropped when Walt and Jesse realized that the old "coma-tose" dad to Tuco could talk!!! I just knew that was the end for them...after all they had been through..

default userpic

My favorite scene was when Walt discovered Jane and Jesse in bed all messed up on heroin and he saw Jane choking and knew she would suffocate on her own vomit and he just sat there and watched her die A defining moment in Walt and his character. Breaking Bad!

user-pic

I would have to say the final episode. Aaron Paul although only being nominated and not winning the Emmy gave a Emmy winning performance when he thought he was at fault for his girlfriends death...

default userpic

My favorite scene has to be when they are interviewing Tuco's uncle. he is so determined to not help the DEA that he just shits in his chair. it's a little toilet humor, but great nonetheless.

I also like the scene when Walt had to bust into Jesse's apartment to make sure he gets all the product for the biggest deal they've ever made. it was desperation at it's best and most dramatic!

user-pic

Walt letting Jane choke to death on her own vomit. Hard to call that my favorite moment, but it was an important one.
This was the first time I saw a truly vicious side of Walt, even though he has killed before. It was dirty and despicable how he immediately realized the opportunity that's being presented to him.
There's no going back from that moment.

default userpic

My favorite moment is a bit of a comedic one. It's in "4 Days Out" when Walt and Jesse are in desperation and Jesse begins listing things Walt might be able to build with the parts of the RV. Among these things are a dune buggy, a battery and a robot.
This helps Walt in finding out that they could build a battery with parts of the RV. When he tells Jesse they are going to build something, Jesse asks what it is. Walt says "You just said it" and Jesse replies "A robot!?"
It was the funniest thing I've ever heard on the show and was a great contrast to the desperation and drama that the episode and the show in general is about.

user-pic

i was lucky enough to attend Paleyfest and we actually got to see season 3's FIRST episode! unbelievable!
but going back to a favorite moment in season 2, i loved the one where Walt finds Jesse in the crack house and how Jesse clenches crying to Walt saying he felt it was his fault Jane was dead-It sorta brings Walt back to realize how wrong everything has turned out and HE KNOWS HE could've saved her,but chose not to- Aaron Paul should have won the Emmy too this year!

default userpic

I would have to say my favorite part is when Walt Breaks into Jesse's house and takes the meth leaving Jesse to wake up thinking he had been robbed. After the occurence Walt makes a bid to get Jesse clean and subsequently fails, but in the end watches Jane choke to death.

default userpic

I LOOOOVED HANK KILLING TUCO!

default userpic

my favorite scene from season 2 is when walt walks up to some guys that where buying stuff to make meth and At the end where Walt said "Stay out of my territory", I was done. He is now my favorite character on any show now showing. I love the premise of this show and can't wait to see more.

default userpic

My favorite scene was during the season finale, when we saw Jane's father working.
The look on his face during this scene sent chills through my body. It gave me a feeling of coming disaster.

user-pic

My absolute favorite moment was in the episode "over'...Walt, Hank, and Walt Jr. are sitting around drinking Tequila at Walt's support party. Walt just has this strange attitude going on. He pours his son this big helping of alcohol. Hank looks at him and is like What are you doin? Walt shrugs it off, What's it look like? and Hank responds Kid's 16, (sarcastically) What are you goin for father of the year? Walt Jr. laughs a little but looks at hank for some approval and he just pats his back. Walt gets annoyed. He then pours himself another shot and goes to put more in his sons cup. Hank quickly rushes his hand over and looks at Walt like "I don't think so" and Walt pours it onto Hanks hand instead! haha Hank done with the situation steps up to leave the scene, taking the bottle of Tequila with him. As he walks away. Walt says in a firm, stern tone "Bring the bottle back" Hank replies back "Sorry buddy, no can do" and Walt jumps up in Hanks face shouting "It's my son, it's my bottle! my house! Hank grabs Walt's shoulder and he quickly slaps it away. They exchange angry glances and behind them Walt Jr. hurls over the pool vomiting, sick from the alcohol. Walt walks back, sits down, and just has this look on his face.

default userpic

My favorite part was when Walt blew up "Ken Wins" car. It was the perfect moment of breaking bad early on in the 1st season.

default userpic

My favorite moment would have to be the 2nd episode of season 2 when Walt and Jesse were being held captive by Tuco. This moment is great because of the excellent tension from Tuco.Tuco is such a great character to watch on screen he's violent and completely unpredictable and his unpredictability contributed a large amount to this scene's fascinating tension.Normally a scene with the villain holding the protagonists captive wouldn't be nearly as pardon the pun captivating but this scene suceeds because due to the wild card element of Tuco you couldn't be too sure if our heros would come out unscathed.

default userpic

When Walter processes castor beans into ricin in order to kill Tuco. The fact that Walt even knows how to do this blows my mind. This is one of those scenes where the writers really succeed in incorporating principles of chemistry into the show. Not only does it make for a great storyline, it also gives the viewers a little bit of Chemistry 101 which is always good.

Jesse: "Rice and beans?"

default userpic

The scene where Jesse and Walt meet with Saul, and Saul stops them and explains to them they suck at pedaling meth and that they need somebody else to help them.

default userpic

It is impossible for me to pick one episode, I loved them all........each episode had an unexpected surprise which kept my mouth watering for the next!
I am sure the new season will be the same!

default userpic

If I had to pick one.....they were all so great....
when Walt dropped the bag of money at Jesses apartment and Jane latched on to the bag so quickly!

default userpic

My favorite is Walt snapping out of his handyman stupor at the hardware store and telling the competition to stay out of his territory. Not only does it seem like the moment Walt truly becomes Heisenberg, but the song is amazing and fits perfectly.

default userpic

Many great moments, but one that sticks with me is Walt & Jesse in the house with Tico, and Uncle Tio ringing the bell to warn him about the poison burrito. As tense of a moment as I've ever seen on TV!

user-pic

"Peekaboo"- The moment the ATM opens after falling on Spooge's head.

default userpic

My favorite scene in Season 2 is where Walt unloads decades of resentment onto Gretchen and her rich upbringing in the most effective way possible. Two words.

"F#$^ YOU"

I was told the first word was bleeped, since it was on AMC. But I'd have passed a polygraph saying I heard every growling second of it. It was the most effective cuss word I have ever heard - and it turns out I didn't even hear it.

I need the Season 2 DVD set so I may experience this magnificently acted (by both Brian Cranston and Jessica Hecht) in it's full unedited glory.

default userpic

The overdose scene...no question. The intellectual understanding of Walter combined with the visceral reaction to the depiction of this kind of death.

default userpic

The scene here Walt goes to rescue Jesse from the drug house after Jane's death.

When the deal with Gus went down, it looked like Walt may cut Jesse loose as he was becoming a liability, especially when he got Jane involved.
But, as infuriating as Jesse is, and for all the problems he has caused Walt, here you can plainly see the father-son bond that has developed between the two.

default userpic

"Peekaboo" is my favorite episode of season 2 because of the craziness at the ATM house, the poor red headed boy and the interaction between Gretchen and Walt where all of his frustration finally emerged in a big, "F You, Gretchen".

default userpic

The overdose scene...no question. The combination of the intellectual understanding of Walter's behavior coupled with the visceral reaction to the horrible depiction of this death.

default userpic

This is the scene I vaguely reference, without spoilers, to friends when I'm recommending the show:

The scene in which Walt stands over Jesse's bed while Jesse and Jane sleep, while Jane begins to choke, is one of the most tense and affecting scenes I've ever seen on television. Over these 20 episodes, as we've watched Walt fall deeper and deeper into this new life, I've been gripped by how real it all seems and how much I buy it as a story. But when he stood there and let Jane die, I was truly conflicted and torn. The emotionally tension that the scene produced for me, outside of the narrative was gut-wrenching to watch.

When I tell people they must start watching Breaking Bad I tell them: No other show on television will make you question morality with such affect.

default userpic

A great moment of season 2 is Hank watching the video of Walt and Jesse stealing the barrel and shouting "try rolling it you morons. it's a barrel. it rolls!"

default userpic

I love the scene in ABQ when Jane's father is trying to pick out a dress in which to bury Jane, and he lays the blue dress out on the bed, and then it cuts to Walt with his new daughter laid out on the floor in almost the exact same position, with outstretched arms. It's not the most exciting or dramatic sequence, but it's heavy with symbolism and a great example of the kind of great filmmaking that Breaking Bad puts into just about every frame of every episode.

default userpic

There's alot ot choose from, but the whole sequence with Hank and those DEA agents finding Tortuga's head on that giant turtle was crazy.I thought it was just to mock the feds but then the bomb blew that guys leg off.I didn't see that coming,it was sort of a turning point for Hank.Knocked him off his high horse.

default userpic

When Jesse, after being evicted from his home, climbs the fence of the junkyard to sleep in the Winnebago, only to land on top of and crash through the port-a-potty. Sad, hilarious and a wonderful visual - particularly the blue, chemical stained footprints he leaves in his wake.

default userpic

I loved the scene where walt finds out that his Cancer is in remission.

default userpic

The moment where Walt confronts the two men buying meth supplies at the hardware store and tells them to, "Stay out of my territory." Bryan Cranston's acting and TV on the Radio's DLZ playing in the background made it the most badass moment of the season. Walt is really becoming Heisenberg! It gave me chills.

default userpic

Favorite scene is when Jane is choking on her vomit and Walt makes the decision to do nothing and lets her die. It's like watching the last of Walt's humanity die as he let's this young woman die because she messes up all his plans.

default userpic

LOVED the severed head on the tortoise!! Awesome show!!!

default userpic

I would have to say my favorite episode is when Walter just stands there and lets Jane die of an overdose. That just goes to show how much he is serious about what he is doing and will do whatever it takes to protect himself and his family...and Jesse.

I am so syked about Season 3!! The is one of the best shows I've ever seen!

default userpic

Better Call Saul: Undercover narcotics agent, Getz, pulls out his service weapon and orders Badger to the ground after he completes the transaction. Casting of DJ Qualls was brilliant because his unassuming appearance forces the audience to be trusting despite the awareness that something is wrong with the deal and remain in a state of disbelief as it unfolds, just like Badger.

default userpic

Favorite moment -- when Walter lets Jane die. Not that I wanted her to die, but the fact that Walter is now in charge of Jesse's life from here on in. Hal .. I mean .. Bryan Cranston is SUCH a great actor.

default userpic

When Jesse and Jane take each others hands while watching Jesse's new (non-working) tv.

default userpic

By far, the part where Walt is at the hardware store and he comes across a young man buying meth related ingredients and materials. He nonchalantly approaches him and tells him that he shouldn't be buying everything at the same place. The young man is stunned when he hears this and leaves the store. Outside, him and his partner wait near a motor home similar to Walt and Jesse's. They are staring Walt down, so he approaches them and lays down the law. He tells him that they are in his territory. They stare at him, and he just stands there. They turn around and leave. Walt is so old school and badass. They could have easily kicked his ass, but they were intimidated by his presence. Best moment so far.

default userpic

"Stay out of my territory." The music just added to the atmosphere and made Walt seem like the biggest badass ever.

default userpic

The actions of 'the Skank' in Peekaboo were award-winning dead on. Never have I seen the awful, single minded intensity of the junkie portrayed more vividly.

default userpic

~Negro y Azul~

-ending scene between Jesse & Jane-

Throughout the episode, Jesse is struggling to find stability. However, he immediately becomes infatuated by his land lord Jane, who is as mysterious as she is attractive.

As neighbors, he listens into through Jane's wall and times his smoking break to match up with hers. He takes this moment to invite her over to check out his new "awesome flat screen". They sit in lawn chairs, as the satellite dish attempts to get a signal.

She senses that Jesse is nervous (as he fidgets and struggles with his small talk). Jane reaches out for Jesse's hand dangling down between them. Behind the blue-lit TV backdrop projecting "still searching", they slowly lock hands and form a heart......close to credits.

-beautiful ending, cant wait till next week-

default userpic

When the old man taps the bell after Hank has the gunfight.

default userpic

Fave scene: When you hear the old man's wheelchair bell after the shootout.

Why I like it: I love the humor that makes me laugh out loud amongst all the drama.

default userpic

I loved the last 15 minutes of the last episode, the acting was incredible on everyone's part.

Also, the "Stay out of my territory" scene.

user-pic

I love the scene in "Down" (204) when Skylar is sitting outside the Tri-H deciding whether to have the cigarette and then lights up.

The look of scorn that the lady in the other vehicle gives Skylar is priceless, especially since I'm a big fan of "Mad Men", where pregnant women smoke with impunity! Skylar's ability to "break bad" in that moment, which Walter uses against her a couple of episodes later, is a pivotal foreshadowing to the change that's coming in her near future. Skylar will do what she has to do to protect her family and that first cigarette drag is her moment of clarity,

I also love this scene because the house I lived in during the winter of 2009 is in the background of the shot. I can see my landlady's car parked in her driveway.

The Tri-H is a UNM neighborhood institution and I love seeing it used as a location several times.

default userpic

"Stay out of my territory" for sure. Chills in that scene.

default userpic

It was definitely when Walt let Jane die. I just couldn't believe he did that! I really love the show and how you guys are letting the charachters develop. At first you are totally sympathetic to Walt and what he's doing - as crazy as it is, and then watching him get to this point. You just can't believe it! Totally badass. I can't freakin WAIT until this Sunday for Season 3!!!!

default userpic

Best moment-season 2: When asked if he wants to help the DEA with identifying Jessie, Tuco's uncle(tio) with his finger shivering about to hit his bell that would indicate a "yes", leans over in his wheelchair and relieves himself. Jessie is also relieved. Hank then recites the line of the season, "I'll take that as a no".

default userpic

Love the "Tuco's Dad" episode...I learned a very important thing...NEVER ASSUME!

default userpic

Best was Mr. White, breaking down Jessie's door...AWESOME...

default userpic

I don't know about "favorite", certainly the moment I'm most affected by, but Walt's concern for Jesse causing him to go back to Jesse's apartment to find him and Jane passed out. While watching Jane die due to an overdose is certainly not morally right, it (like cooking drugs to make money for his family) is in the service of protecting and helping someone he cares about. It is in this moment that you see where Walter holds Jesse, as more than just a degenerate junkie, screw-up former student, or drug dealer. It's more than just protecting his investment.

default userpic

For some reason one scene that really touched me was in "Over" after Jane & Jesse's fight when she leaves the "Apology Girl" drawing for Jesse.
Really felt for the character of Jesse, what a great/underrated actor Aaron Paul is

default userpic

When we first meet S'aul Goodman becausei wasnt expecting to see bob odenkirk !!!! STOKED

default userpic

I love this show, both seasons, and I can't wait for the next season to start. My favorite episode in Season 2 would have to be when Walt leaves Jane to die. It is definitely a show of how much he has changed and what a person will do once they cross the line. It's all about him and what he will/has to do to protect "his secret" from his family and of course the cops.

default userpic

Being somewhat closer to Walt's age than to Jesse's, I think one of the most powerful scenes (and there really are too many to count), was when Walt was talking to John DeLancie (can't remember character's name - see I told you I was older) in the restaurant about the loss of his daughter. Not only was the irony amazing but it really showed you the complexity of Walt & Jesse's relationship.

The show can make you laugh, cry, and cringe, all within minutes of each other.

user-pic

The whole episode of "Grilled"....From the beginning where it shows them in the trunk, to the conversations Walt and Jessie have while sitting on the couch....Walt, Jessie and Tuco's final confrontation and then the shoot out between Tuco and Hank....The whole episode had you on the edge of your seat!!!!!!!

default userpic

My favorite moment of season two is when Walt is with Jesse in rehab and they are talking about Jane's death and Jesse just starts crying and saying how she was the only thing he ever really loved. It was just such a sad/sweet moment. Plus i love the way that Walt acts like a father to Jesse.

default userpic

The ending scene. It just stuck in my memory. Pure badass.

default userpic

Walt's chilling decision to allow Jane to die is still rattling in my mind, months after having seen the episode. It was a masterstroke of storytelling, and showed that this show is bold enough to actually follow Walt's original decision to its harrowing and realistic consequences.

default userpic

I have so many favorite ones. But the whole last episode from season 2. The end when everything comes crashing down on Walt. It's amazing how you want Walt to win and not get caught, but in the end it's all so wrong and it makes you sick at the same time. The writing on this show is amazing. Vince is amazing, the writers, the actors all amazing. Very well put together, can't ask for a better program. I'm constantly telling people to watch it. Love it, keep up the great work.

default userpic

Though the rest of the episode dragged a little, my two favorites scenes both occured in the episode "Over". I loved the scene in which Walt challenges Hank over the bottle of tequilla and, more importantly, Walter Jr.s adoration. You can see the level of greed that Walt has grown to, and it's a startling turn for someone who seemed so mild mannered when we first met him in Season 1.

Even more than that, I absolutely loved the last scene from that episode when Walt discovers the guy in the store and recognizes that he's purchasing ingrediants to cook meth with. When he makes the decision to go out there and stand up for his 'territory', you can see that Walt has gone through a complete metamorphisis. In the beginning, it was all about making some money for his family before he died of lung cancer. Now with his cancer in remission and his rationale for dealing seemingly no longer in play, we're left with only one thought in our minds as viewers - Walt has become a monster. That scene also was produced utterly fantastically. I love the song that was playing (DLZ by T.V on the Radio, I looked it up online after watching the show) and I still get goosebumps whenever I rewatch it.

A sidenote on the episode "Over": This episode featured several transitions from one scene to another such as the dripping water heater at home in one scene to the dripping coffee maker at the office in the next. There was also the loud humming noise of Walts tools transitioning to the vacuum cleaner at the office. Given that this seemed to be a theme of the episode, I found it quite interesting that one scene at the office ending with Ted entering Sky's room transitioned into Walt at home inserting his drill into the wood...

default userpic

My favorite part of Season 2 was the episode "Negro y Azul". Jesse is dealing with the sight of a man's head getting crushed, and word is spreading that he's a killer... So Walt keeps the rumors going, showing how far he's come from the normal Chemistry teacher.

default userpic

After Jesse gets kicked out of his house and he goes to sleep in the RV. He falls into the out house and comes out all blue. After he makes it into the RV we see him crying inside the gas mask...The mood goes from hilarious to heartbreaking in an instant...Truly brilliant!

default userpic

For me it was the Jane scene. But, I feel Walt let her die more for his love of Jesse rather than to protect himself. He feels it's his chance to help him sober up and keep Jesse from falling further into the downward spiral he's in. Walt has become a father figure to Jesse and he really cares about the boy.

user-pic

It has got to be the episode where Walt and Jesse are with tuco in the desert and his grandpa or whoever that is was telling on them and when Tuco switched the sandwiches on them. Another favorite is when Walt's phone is vibrating in the ceiling.

default userpic

...am not sure which is favorite from second season. Is a well written show, from episode one to last. As a former meth user, I can appreciate the character realism, cant wait for season 3 to begin!

default userpic

default userpic

The defining moment of the series (and of Walter White's lifestyle change), along with my personal favorite scene, is the "Stay out of my territory" bit outside of the Hardware store. What's most important to that scene is that Walt had to contemplate leaving the line to pay, going outside, and intimidating those two men (whom I'm sure the old Walter would never approach). Either Walt decided that: A. He's gone too far down this road to NOT say anything and must intimidate them out of necessity or B. He actually enjoyed intimidating those wannabes, because that's what has happened to him all of his life.
In any event, FANTASTIC production - acting, editing, directing, lighting. TV at its finest!

default userpic

my favorite moment in season 2 is when jane dies, laying in bed, with jesse next to her sleeping, and walt just watches her die. its so harsh and real that i couldnt watch the first time. it is chillingly realistic.

default userpic

It is def hard for me to pick just one favorite moment, this is my favorite TV show since Growing Pains. One of my top favorite scenes is when Jane dies. I think it's a hard thing to do, to judge if someone should or should die... but this is a TV show, so I don't feel as bad for saying Jane's death was for the best. Walt was faced with the decision to save her or not, and he chose the latter. This scene was so powerful, I was on pins and needles practically holding my breath the whole time! It was very ironic, but for the best because if she didn't die then, Jesse and Jane would have gone further down the path of destruction, ultimately leading to death anyway. Her death was a wake up call of sorts for Jesse. I absolutely can't wait for Season 3!!!!!!!!

I like the scene in "Peekaboo" when Jesse tries to protect the little red-headed boy from the horrible scene inside the house. The kindness and empathy that Jesse shows him is a peek at his seldom seen soft side.

default userpic

I love the intro scene (forget the episode number) where the kid on the bike shoots Jesse's drug dealer friend. So beautifully shot with a perfect buildup from the beginning to the end. And the way the big gulp cup explodes from the bullet before you actually see the blood on his shirt is brilliant. BRILLIANT.

user-pic

Just another vote for Peekaboo. The utter depravity of a drug addicted existence, and its effect on an innocent child, was so well portrayed. That poor kid was just numb to his surroundings and the violence going on around him...
Yet Jesse seems to live in both the rational and their world, and manages incredible empathy toward the child -- until that last scene where he too abandons him with, "Have a great life, kid"

default userpic

The most touching moment for me last year appeared in Peekaboo. Jessie's interaction between Spooge & the skank's kid introduced us to a compassionate and unselfish side of Jessie. The last scene was almost as if he was looking into his past to a time with no addictions and contemplating where his life went wrong.

default userpic

I loved episode 4 when Jesse went through the toilet in the Winnebago.

default userpic

Favorite is Grille when Tio rings his bell. It was such a simple device yet so terrifying. Very well done.

user-pic

"Peekaboo"- The moment the ATM opens after falling on Spooge's head.

default userpic

My favorite scene is when Walt is walking out of Tucco's hideout after blowing it up and making the deal.

default userpic

'4 Days Out' is still my all time favorite episode, but if I had to pick a penultimate moment, its got to be Walt's giving in and giving his inner Heisenberg free reign on the wanna be meth cookers in the hardware store parking lot. It is almost impossible to pick one favorite scene or episode with this show. They are all so intense. Superb writing, acting, directing! I did get a kick out of the scene where Walt tells Jesse what kind of container to get so they can destroy the body of the guy they held captive in the basement. Jesse puts acid in the bath tub upstairs and the acid ate through the tub and floor and fell through. Criminals making mistakes and getting mad at each other. Hillarious!!!!

I liked it when the skank got pissed at her husband and squished his noggin with the ATM.

default userpic

Definitely the second episode. The entire thing, really, but definitely any part involving Tuco's uncle. The scene at the table with the poisoned food was amazing. The entire episode was so amazingly tense and suspenseful. Oh man, I really hope I win some DVDs. It is my favorite show.

The plane crash was my favorite scene due to the epic scope of the shot.

the plane crash or tucos head upon the turtle!!! its hard to pick a fav. i loved every episode and just can not wait till the new season starts!

default userpic

My favorite scene is when Walter pulls Jesse out of the drug house. There's no pizzazz or special effects in it, and that's exactly what makes it so moving. It's pure, raw, emotion in a filthy shack of a place. All through the first and second season I didn't think Aaron Paul was on an equal level of acting as Bryan Cranston, but that scene alone brought the playing field one heck of a lot closer.

ATM vs Dirtbag: ATM = 1 Dirtbag = 0

default userpic

The scene where the wife pushes the ATM onto her husband's head is probably my favorite scene. I just didn't see it coming.

default userpic

I do not even now where to begin with this show. Please, nobody call me when i am watching it!!I loved every episode but the one that left me with my mouth open in amazement is the episode where Walt let Jane overdose and die.Like someone previously said it certainly marked the turning point for Walt..Is this the best show on TV ever or what....

default userpic

Definitely my favorite scene is when Walt lets it all hang out at the grocery store - too funny. But the most affecting scene for sure is when Walt lets Jane OD when he could have done something, at least just rolled her over. Obviously both of these scenes show how dedicated he has come to be to the business. If you're not helping him, you're hindering him, but his short-sightedness is starting to catch up to him.

user-pic

Hola DEA! Come on, a decapitated head, packed with explosives, attached to a strolling tortoise and then blowing the hell out of those DEA guys? INSANE!!! I've never seen anything like that!

A close second is the sequence showing the 2 airplanes colliding and sending flaming debris cascading down to earth. Hardcore!

Hola DEA! Come on, a decapitated head, packed with explosives, attached to the shell of a strolling tortoise and then blowing the hell out of those DEA guys? INSANE! I've never seen anything like that. A close second is the sequence showing the collision of the 2 airplanes and the cascading shower of flaming debris, filmed very eerily.

default userpic

My favorite scene is when Walt shows his daughter all the cash placed between the studs in his house. I'm sure she was impressed. :-)

default userpic

My favorite scene remains the intro to the season. The black and white, dreamlike cinematography, moving about around the pool, and then the eyeball floating toward the vent. Slowly the camera moves up to see the charred, pink teddy bear (missing an eye). And all of this with the police sirens growing louder. Such a short bit, but very influential. This is the kind of thoughtful writing (and suspense!) that is missing from most other shows.

default userpic

In the finale, that scene that begins with the Walt jar (with his picture in the front) in the background of the "Wanted" poster, making it look like he's wanted by the DEA and ends with Gus putting some money in the jar. Also, all of "peekaboo".

default userpic

In season two, the episode "Peekaboo" stands out from the rest. That episode is so shocking and twisted. An episode like that is hard to write, much less bring to life on the screen and have an audience believe it. "Peekaboo" is definitely my favorite from season two.

default userpic

My favorite moment from Season 2 would have to be from the "Better Call Saul" episode. It's the scene where Badger is set to sell out the fake Heisenberg while Hank was looking on. "Fake Heisenberg" was running late so Badger starts talking to the wrong guy! This leads to Walt creating a distraction while Jesse tells Badger to stop screwing things up.

Walt's interaction and surprise to see Hank provided for great comic relief, as this show tends to do. In the end, the fall guy falls and Badger gets set free.

This show is great and I have turned so many others on to it. Having Season 2 on Blu-ray would only help me spread the show even more!!

default userpic

My favorite scene has to be the introduction of Saul Goodman. It's so freakin' hilarious!

default userpic

Hank shooting Tuco for the win!

default userpic

The desert stakeout by the DEA which culminated in the blowing up of Tortuga's severed head which was riding on the back of a turtle will be remembered by all moviedom as a great work of art. The writers and special effects people should be enshrined in the hall of fame. Tortuga, who claimed to be the best snitch around, became a booby trap for the feds as well as an example for future snitches.

Alright, the best moment by far from last season came early but cannot be forgotten. It involved Tuco, Walt, Jesse and Tuco's mute uncle Tio.
The entire scene takes place in a secret house in the desert and hits its apex with only three ingredients, secrecy, poison and a bell. While Tuco is cooking something. Walt grabs the ricin packet. Tuco finishes the meal and wants them to eat. Tuco grabs the old man, his uncle (Tio) we learn, and asks him if he wants to eat as well. While Tuco is busy, Walt slips the ricin into Tuco's wrap. But, Tuco's grandfather sees him do it. There's a bell attached to his wheel chair and he rings it before Tuco takes the first bite. Walt and Jesse sit in silence – obviously tense. Tuco says he fill feed him after. But he rings the bell twice again before he can take a bite. Tuco asks him, "What?" – he laughs, he assumes Tio wants his food – he switches plates with him. Jesse and Walt still tense as ever. Tio struggles, but manages to lift his arm and slide the plate off the table. Tuco is pissed. The tension is absolutely killer. Tio points to Walt. His hand is shaking but continues pointing. Tuco doesn't put it together.
While Tuco shoots at an animal in the desert, Tio rings his bell again. He keeps ringing, he wants Tuco to listen. Tuco doesn't know what he's ringing about and is pissed. Tuco thinks he is hungry again. But Tio looks sternly at Walt. "You don't like them Tio", Tuco says; Tio rings once. Tuco chuckles. "Why don't you like them Tio? You don't trust them?". DING. "Why don't you trust them Tio?". He whispers, "Did they do something to you Tio, something that you don't like?". DING. "What did you do to my TIO?" Tuco shouts, "My Tio does not lie!". Jesse brings up changing the channel – that must be it they argue. Tuco laughs again. "Tio is that it, Tio?". No ding, his finger shakes though. "Are they bonking me?" DING. Tuco cocks the gun, pulls Jesse right through the door. Walt runs after him. He throws Jesse against some wood and them gets ready to shoot. Jesse turns over and grabs a rock. Walt is still looking on. Jesse sobs, Tuco asks Walt what he did. "We tried to poison you," he says.

Any episode with Saul in it, he is a great charter and really adds to the show."Better Call Saul"

The scene with Walt, Jesse, Tuco, & Uncle Tio, where Tio rings the bell to try and warn Tuco about the poisen in the food he is about to eat is flat out the most intense scene I have ever watched on a tv show. It is at this point where I started to think that 'Breaking Bad' might eventually surpass 'The Wire' as the greatest tv show ever created. Although, with just 2 seasons completed, I will wait until this show comes to a series conclusion in the future before determining where I will rank this show. As of right now though, the first 2 seasons of 'Breaking Bad' are as good as I have seen. My sincere thanks to the creators, writers, actors, and other show personnel for giving us such a great tv show.

The tortoise!

user-pic

I liked the scene where Hank, Walt and Jr are drinking at the poolside. Walt shows a glimmer of his Heisenberg nature to his family by standing up to Hank in regards to just who is Jr's father. Now, Jr is not going to pass up an opportunity to drink so he laps up the attention, but Hank, who deals with low lifes daily, is so blinded by who he thinks he knows Walt to be, that all he sees is "Walt has had too much to drink," and once again fails to see that his arch enemy is right under his nose. It's just a hint that we're going to see more of Heisenberg because Walt's gotten away with it now, so he's going to become braver, or sloppy depending on your viewpoint, and sooner or later, Heisenberg will be caught.

Negro Y Azul episode when Hank and the DEA find Tortuga's head on a tortoise. When Hank gets queasy and walks away to get sick, the other guys are laughing at him. Soon after, the tortoise blows up and kills the guys and Hank realizes he is safe because he walked away to be sick

After some thought, I would have to say my favorite moment from Season 2 comes at the end of episode 12, titled Phoenix. The moment is at the end of the episode when Walt notices Jane is choking on her vomit and choses to not help her, letting her overdose.

I chose this moment for many reasons, but mainly due to how it epitomizes what I like most about the show, and some of its themes. The show documents a man changing "from A to Z" as the creator puts it, and this is the peak in this change (at this point) in my view. I truly believe that the Walt at the start of season one would have handled this situation totally different. This moment really shows how far he's come, or how much he has changed since the show started.

One thing I love about this show and that makes it different is it doesn't go to far to try and make Walt likeable, the character(s) are constantly evolving, this scene really drove this home for me ending as it did. This scene is emotional and powerful, and hard to watch. It is extremely well acted, real and gripping. all things that you also could say about the show. The look on Walts face at the end and the sound of Jane choking still haunts me. So as I said this moment really sums up the show as a whole, and sticks out the most out of any others in the season.

default userpic

My favorite moment from season two has to be towards the end of the season finale. At many points throughout this episode, Walt (as always) is neglecting is family and pertaining to his other life. But as I was watching, I realized this second life has become his own, and his new family consists of himself and Jesse. After the death of Jane, Walt comforts Jesse as hes crying inside the rundown drug house, and it was this moment redefined the show for me. No longer is cooking meth business for Walt as he begins to show more sympathy and compassion for his partner than he would for his family.

default userpic

Walt throws away the HOPE button at the hospital. The symbolism here is subtle yet powerful. Hope is a concept outside of Walt's realm of thinking. Walt only deals in absolutes.

default userpic

My favorite scene is when Walt goes back to Los Pollos the second time to confront Gus. I like this scene a lot for several reasons. 1) This scene keeps you guessing who the meth distributor is that Walt was supposed to meet. This was very well crafted because most viewers will suspect it's the bald African American manager (Gus) but the answer was not "in your face" obvious. We can only rely on our intuition to guess that it is Gus. The way Gus acted and how the camera portrayed Gus acting inconspicuously was superb as he wasn't quite flawless in his manner of conduct staring at Walt while wiping the table. 2) This scene shows that Walt is always willing to take matters in his own hand, and not take "No" for an answer, even after Saul refused to try and set up another meeting. It shows that Walt has balls and persistence to fulfill his mission. 3) I also liked how Gus acts like a very innocent and meek fastfood merchant who is completely ignorant of everything while Walt sits him down and talks to him in the beginning, but then transforms his facial expressions into a professional criminal right when he says "I don't think we have anything in common Mr. White".

user-pic

There are so many favs in Season Two, in my opinion. I love the finale, obviously, for many reasons. Walt rescuing Jesse but not telling him his own involvement with the Jane situation, Jane's Dad and Walt talking the bar, etc...But another of my favorite parts of Season Two was the back-story of Gretchen, and when we start to see Walt truly changing who he deals with his own inner rage...i.e. telling Gretchen off. I also loved the scenes with Saul Goodman! Those are just a few favorites off the top of my head. I've told so many people about this show, and I've been with it since Season 1. Can't wait for the Season 3 premiere, I've only been waiting for it in anticipation since last summer! ;)

P.S. It's my birthday on the 18th, I could use a little Breaking Bad to ring it in properly.

default userpic

Obvious one was when Walt told the new guys to "Stay out of my territory"; loved the stare-down-Walt is officially a badass. The more subtle, but most telling ones to me were when Walt kicked that asshole kid in the leg because he was making fun of Jr. (way to go Walt!), when he "broke out" his alter-ego of Heisenberg and when the kid on the bike killed Combo; didn't see that one coming... Bring on Season 3!

default userpic

Second season really got cooking. For Drama I loved Peekaboo, but when they introduced Saul and hes on his knees in the desert at night with a gun to his head and thought it was just negotiating. We watched that part 10 times. That whole episode was a riot. great addition as a character. and the site is great.

default userpic

Favourite scene:when Walt watched Jesse's girlfriend, Jane, choke on her own vomit and die...you could see Walt struggle with himself as to whether he should help her or not and then seeing him come to the realization that things would be better for him is she was dead - since she was the one trying to blackmail Walt.

default userpic

My favorite moment was when Walt went to "rescue" Jesse from the drug den. On the one hand he was finally taking a personal interest in Jesse's life outside of selling drugs, but it was partly because of him that he was there. Or rather, he could have prevented him from sinking that low. The great part about the show is that it's always making you question who's at fault and if it could have been changed. You want to feel sympathetic for Walt and Jesse, but it's getting tougher and tougher.

default userpic

Easily when Walter stood over Jane, watching her choke on her own vomit. Though it could be argued that it wasn't Walter's fault that she died, Walter easily could have saved her from death. This is THE turning point in Walter's character and any moment of moral ambiguity up until this point suddenly becomes much darker and sinister.

default userpic

so many scenes, so much good stuff!
I have two favs: Cranston's character talking to jane's dad about the perils of addiction in an adult child and them not knowing they knew the same people.
That and of course the entire episode of "peekaboo"

default userpic

I would have to say the scene where Skylar confronts Walt about all the lies he's told since the show started.

This scene shows better than any scene that the path he's chosen has consequences. That his intentions to keep his family provided for after he's gone, his actions are pushing them away. Also,it looks like the worst for Walt is yet to come

default userpic

Watching Jesse take care of the child at the Spooge and Skank's 'house' and calling 911 as he was leaving to make sure the child would be taken away from that life and given a chance to live normally. You get to see that side of Jesse that doesn't often pop up. It's similar to his punishing of himself when he thought it was his fault Jane had died. A nice look into the softer side of Jesse's character.

default userpic

Yes, another fan who thinks there are so MANY favorite scenes -sometimes in the same episode.

I'm going to pick the scene with Badger getting busted for drugs at the beginning of 'Better Call Saul' because at the beginning Badger sounds like he's TRYING to sound street-smart, picking out the flower van as an undercover van, and then he gets talked into selling, and then he's busted and the vans pull up. Hilarious! And also because we, the viewers, are also being fooled. Saul's first scene was priceless as well. it's great to have really funny scenes in a show as dark as this.

default userpic

My favorite season 2 moment is when Jesse is in the druggie family's house in "Peekaboo". This is my favorite because it was an extremely intense moment. I was at the edge of my seat the whole episode, rooting for Jesse to make it out alive!

default userpic

My favorite by far is the first episode of the second season, I believe it was. That old man and his bell! I've never been literally on the edge of my seat before. That was some suspenseful stuff right there. This show is amazing all around though.

user-pic

My favorite scene has to be the scene that ended season 2. It finally put together the pieces that we were shown clips of throughout the season. The burnt up red "dolly" thingy?, the body bags in Walts driveway, and the debris from an explosion around the house, etc... Those clips made us think...."Wha'd up wit dat?!" The ending scene of season 2 also made us anxiously await for season 3. WooHoo~!!! The new season starts this Sunday!

user-pic

Is this thing on???? ....woohoo?

user-pic

HaHaHa! ...I meant to do that!

default userpic

I would have to say when Walt was torn on what to do with Jane when she was choking on her own vomit. He was so torn, but at the same time she was destroying his life of crime. She could bring it all down and so fast, without her there, not as much trouble.

Keep up the fantastic nail biting on your edge writing... I have been waiting to long for season three... Please get here faster Sunday March 21st!

user-pic

My favorite moment from the second season is when Jesse is getting thrown out of his aunt's house and the movers are packing up everything. When they unplug and take the phone that Jesse just hung up, it really brought home the point that everything must go, including him.

default userpic

The scene at the hardware store with Walt telling those guys to stay out of his territory was amazing. Having DLZ by TV on the Radio is just icing on the cake

default userpic

My favorite scene of the season was when Walter helped Jesse get into rehab after his gf od'd. It shows that he still has a little bit of his humanity left. My favorite scence's of both seasons are when Walter has to make a morally troubling decision and you just see that look come over his face and he does what he has to do. Just great acting.

default userpic

I'm going to BREAK BAD and discuss SEASON 3 and what I saw at the SCREENING LAB in San Francisco! Gus saying 3 mill or 3 months of your LIFE to Walt? The cartel ARE coming!

As far as season 2 is concerned I can never hear a "ding ding " bell again! R.I.P Tuco. What was not to like, this show rocks! I'm so glad biker season is over that was zzzz.. Now lets get back to building that robot Jesse Jackson!

Definitely goes from BAD to Worse in SEASON 3!

default userpic

2nd ep 2nd season. Tense scene with the disabled uncle and then the shootout. Awesome.

default userpic

My favorite episode of season 2 was "Down"...Jesse's character only gets better and better....talk about a bad day!!! As always, the show accomplishes its very difficult balance between laughter and pathos. Jesse's desperation and frustration was certainly conveyedin an effective and emotional manner. This is definitely a masterpiece of a show!

default userpic

Favorite episode is "Better Call Saul".

The whole episode rocks, especially when the convict taking the fall for Badger shows up at the bus stop wearing prison blues!

Did everyone catch that?

Since previous commenters have noted the greatness of the ending to ep 10 "Down," I'll go with the moment in ep 12 when Walt orders a Fat Tire.

The moment Jesse is taking the call at the payphone...in the hoodie...and he's stressed. Love the shot, love the moment, love the colors on the screen.

So many great moments but the defining moment for Walt's character has to be letting Jane die. Riveting.

default userpic

When TUCO captured our heros. Their bravado in spite of my favorite villain, TUCO and the added irony provided by the see-all observant third character in the room.

user-pic

My favorite season two moment is definitely the Tuco shootout scene with Hank finally getting the last shot. When Walt realizes that Hank is there, it really was the closest Hank has been to catching "Heisenberg." That whole sequence with Tuco, his uncle, and the poisoned burrito made for great television. I would love to be able to watch that again and again on DVD/Blu-ray.

user-pic

My favorite moment from Season 2
In episode 7: Negro Y Azul when Hank and the other agents are on stake out in Mexico. Hank sees what looks like Tortuga but it turns out to be Tortuga's severed head on a live tortoise. Hank gets sick from the sight of it and heads back to the SUV, The other agents laugh at him, they have been talking behind his back in Spanish since he arrived at El Paso. One agent grabs the severed head and it explodes killing and injuring agents. Hank goes down to the scene to help save the agents that survive. I like this scene because it shows that Hank talks the talk but doesn’t have what it takes to fight big guns in the real war on drugs. The agents were right his appointment was political but they shouldn’t have talked bad and laughed at him because the agents were the ones that got it in the end.

default userpic

My favorite moment is in the "Over" episode when Walt says that when he found out he had cancer he thought "why me?" and that he thought the same thing when he heard he was getting better. I think I would feel the same way. Why do I have cancer, but then why am I getting better after all of the s**t I've been doing. It's as if he was looking forward to death as an escape.

user-pic

S2E8 "Better Call Saul" When Saul is on his knees, thinking Jesse and Walt are going to whack him, but he is able to talk them out of it, and even gets them to hire him as their lawyer. From no one to everybody winning. The combination of desperation, intimidation, inspiration, relief, and joy.

user-pic

Good catch Navillar, I couldn't figure why the convict was wearing scrubs. They were prison blues! Every episode is good and has revelations, usually a laugh, oblique clues to future events, sly dialogue, and more reasons to love or hate a character.

I like Peekaboo because of Jesse's charming play with the beetle, which gets squished by Skinny Pete just as the addict gets squished--"Ya put the weak part on the bottom!" when his weak part ends up on the bottom of the ATM. Jesse threatened to shoot them "in the face" and that's the weak part, isn't it? I also like how it shows Jesse has survived in Heisenberger's choice of a world but is truly a gentle man. Breaking Bad slowly reveals his character in the direction from clumsey bad boy to sweet man, opposite the transit of Walt's character, who first seemed to be a well-meaning, inept, perhaps self-denying, ordinary guy. We see Walt's "good" side give way to his natural bitterness, self-pity, and greed for power in the ugly world he has entered and wants to possess, and perhaps has always wanted to create for himself to rule.

default userpic

My favorite season 2 episode was when Walter allowed Jane to die of a heroine overdose. There's a dramatic pause there, and it made me shutter when he walked away: There was no turning back from his corruption.

default userpic

The introduction of Saul - every scene he's in is great.

The most memorable scene was when Walt allowed Jesse's girlfriend to die. On one hand, it had to be done (or else she was going to be the end of them). On the other, it was a huge line for Walt to cross.
