BB-Encores-Walt-Jesse-325.jpg

For some fans, the only way to prepare for a new season of Breaking Bad is to watch every episode that precedes it again and again. We hear you. And if you're a night owl (or if you have a DVR), here's your opportunity to relive every "Bad" moment in Walter White's transformation from milquetoast chemistry teacher to stone-cold kingpin.

For a week and a half starting on Tue., Mar. 9 at 3:30AM | 2:30 C, AMC will begin late-night airings of all 20 episodes. The encores begin that night with the first two episodes of the Season 1, and continue with two or so episodes per night through Thu., Mar. 18 at 4AM | 3C, when the last two Season 2 episodes air.

It's a shame you guys have to play the episodes so late. You would think with between this and Mad Men, AMC could do a little better prep work for Season 3 for you guys. I mean this week there going to be playing Forrest Gump every night! For a station that repeats old movies over and over you would think they'd recognize there gold star shows and show them off more in a prime time slot.

Borito1 neglected to mention that Forrest Gump is going to be on every night twice, B2B, if you can believe that!

You guys can't win. First, people complained about the 'favorites marathon' being too short, now every single episode being aired is not at the right time. BTW, VCR's were invented in 1971, and DVR's in 1999.

One way or another I am so there. Cheers!

PS I meant to but forgot to mention that both seasons are now out on DVD.

But the more I read Borito1's comment, I realize B1 is not complaining for himself, but fighting for the show's exposure. I appreciate what B1 is saying. Ah, in a perfect world... But I fear AMC has factored in all possible ratings results & decided on the best time slot decisions for the channel. It is after all American Movie Classics, so movies are its focus.

I am happy AMC is airing 'Breaking Bad' at all. I think it's possible 'Breaking Bad' might have a longer run on another network like a pay channel. But I am still hoping AMC will allow BB to run its full course.

PPS I'm so sorry. The Season 2 DVD is available for pre-order now, but will not actually be out till March 16. Oi!

Well, at least the DVD release is five days ahead of the Season 3 premier, so there would still be time to get ready by going that route.
