Would be hard to say which ones are best. When I was watching it as it originally aired, each episode was better than the previous one. Besides, it's very much a serial (rather than episodic) TV show, and it would be a crime, in my opinion, to show some of them and not all of them. Watching Walt's morality slowly self-destruct is the beauty of the show.

Hey AMC, I have a better idea. How about a marathon that includes all episodes of the series. Now I know the definition of a marathon may have different meanings, and my interpretation is one where season 1 and 2 are shown back to back may be off base, but honestly what good will it do to watch 8 episodes of a series that has about 21 episodes? That's less than half of the series!

I understand AMC has a block of programming to schedule, but really guys, Rambo and Batman Begins get more airtime than Breaking Bad and Mad Men combined! I am voting for all episodes to be aired back to back...that is, if it doesn't interrupt the Matrix Triology marathon that seems to occur almost every week. I love the series, and am anxiously waiting for season 3, so please toss the fans a bone and give us the whole series back to back. It's only fair. Thank you very much for your time.

I have a much better idea. Just have a Mad Men marathon instead!

Hmmm...decisions...decisions!! =\

BTW, speaking of decisons, kathiemarie, I'm trying to figure out your comment about having a Mad Men marathon INSTEAD...were you just trying to give us a good-natured ribbing?

However...IF you were being serious, here on the Breaking Bad message board, I will quote Walter White:
"Stay OUT of MY territory!!" ;)
Juuuuuussst kidding! LOL LOL LOL!
(I mean, BWA ha ha ha!!)

Clayton pretty much summed up my feelings about the series. Very well done.

I have an idea. How about spread the word??? Every time i mention this series everyone is like "breaking what". Its right up there with Sopranos if not better and it kills me that no one has even heard of it. I just found out about this series and couldnt stop watching it. Please spread the word, its too good to have people miss out on such a great program.

Who ever is in charge of marketing this show should be fired. Mad Men seems to get so much more love from AMC, and it isn't close to being as good as Breaking Bad. I watch both religiously. As stated above, how can you break the series up, it would be just confusing to people who are being introduced to the show for the 1st time. Come on AMC, show the entire 2 years in order. Each episode is brilliant in it's own right.

I must add, that even though it seems like the marketing of this show is very enemic, I mean, no swag for the show? I don't get it. I must say however the timesquare billboard is absolutely brilliant. I just hope people know what the heck it means. We'll see.

i agree that: 1) we need to see ALL episodes in the marathon. at least show all episodes of season two, and 2) this show seriously is not promoted the way it should be and the way it *deserves* to be. BB is brilliant!! it should much more well known by now!

default userpic

It's smarter to let fans and newbies catch up with season 1 & 2 in its entirety before season 3 premieres (at the very least season 2). Whoever is marketing & programming at AMC is doing a poor job and not giving BB a chance to shine ala Mad Men.

I've been jonesing like a crack whore for this show!!! I want to vote to see all of seasons 1 and 2 again! Watching a marathon of season 1 was how I got hooked in the first place. However if that is not possible, I believe the only reasonable option is to air the last 6 episodes of season 2 so we can relive all of the glorious drama that leads up to the start of season 3. Since the story progresses (and the tension mounts) with each episode, to show 6 random episodes would be a jumbled up mess.

I've been jonesing like a crack whore for this show!!! Wish I could vote to see all of season's 1 and 2 again. It was watching a marathon of season 1 before the start of season 2 that got me hooked in the first place (and it was all of season 1!). I think that if you are gonna have a marathon and can only give us 6 episodes (man how stingy!), for this show it makes more sense to air the last 6 episodes so we can relive all of the glorious drama that leads up to the start of season 3. Even though it's cool for us to vote for our favorites, I think airing them as the marathon is a really dumb idea. Since the story progresses (and the tension mounts) with each episode, showing 6 random episodes would be a jumbled up mess and won't do the show justice. Even still, I can't wait for the new season!!

Every time I get someone to sit down and watch an episode it turns into another... and another... and another. They have to see what happens next. I let a guy borrow my DVDs and he didn't sleep until he had watched 11 episodes and came to work the next day with no sleep, fiending to get off and watch the rest of season 2. With that in mind, how can you really break up the shows? That just doesn't seem right.

Oh well! "Crazy Handful of Nothing" was the best of them all. Yes, I said that with finality. Raymond Cruz came in and let Tuco loose, and Heisenberg was right before your eyes in his glorious baldness.

And kathiemarie! I'm agreeing with diksee on this one!

Thank you, laz for backing me up!! Your opinion is truly appreciated, since you will only stand behind what you feel, is right!

And, I'm agreeing with..and LMAO about what noah & Evalucida wrote!!

Agreed that Marketing has "dropped the ball" for Breaking Bad...and, LMAO that, we've "been jonesing like a crack whore for this show!!"

Quite a few of us Breaking Bad Fans are tired of our favorite show being treated like the "red-headed, middle step-child" to Mad Men!!
Breaking Bad has proven itself to many, MANY fans, critics, etc...over & OVER again!!

Although, it's talents are finally coming to light, to THEM...It's more than about time, this under-rated & talented "prodigy" of Vince Gilligan; et all & AMC got the true recognition it deserved!!!

This 1 vexes me! I've watched this show from episode 1, season 1.
I can't understand 4 the life of all that's good, why so few people know of this show? AMC has the best kept secret on TV! 'Breaking Bad', is the networks flagship in my opinion, but a most people only know of 'Mad Men'.
AMC here's a freebie. Spend some ad dollar$ and do a "Breaking Bad Marathon Weekend". Show all 1st season episodes on Sat. and all 2nd season episodes on Sun.
I can hardly wait 4 the new season 2 start! BREAKING BAD, 4LIFE!

I agree with the person who said whoever is in charge of marketing this series (THE BEST SERIES EVER) should be fired. I am a Canadian and I cannot buy a copy of this series, I have money, it's funny coloured but it's good. People I talk too have never heard of it even though they have the AMC so iI give them a copy (VHS) and they are hooked. Congats to Bryan Cranston. I knew he would win another Emmy, and I think Arron Paul should of won best supporting actor. The art and photography are first rate. Anyway I can't wait till Mach. I wish Tuco could come back from the dead. and us Walt really to blame for everything?

One of my fav shows, just dying for Season 3. Hope AMC plays the new shows 2-3x on the live Sunday and again once during the midweek late for the upcoming episode broadcasts same as original season 1 (incase you miss on Sunday). It will be awesome!!! DVD is available in Canada. If the show is promoted too much it might ruin it! This is what else makes it so much more exciting, ITS NOT A FAD! Yes, get rid of some of those cheesy movies AMC. As for the Marathon.... if you must be cheap on your broadcast timeslots. Play the whole thing, Season 1 on one day, Season 2 on another day, then your eyes won't burn. This show is more intense and addictive than the crank they're cooking!
S1, Episode 1 Pilot, Cats in the bag, Bag in River, Crazy Handful of Nothin, S2 - Grilled, Breakage, 4 days out, Mandala, Phoenix, ABQ!

If you ever wanted a view into the weird, weird, of meth cook and a tweaker this is the series for you. As a recovering addict and ex cook, I was able to really take a step back and see what a twisted mess that meth can make out of your life. This series really hit home.I think if you want to invite new fans into this realm u should present the whole story. Why not? It cant hurt. Watch Breaking Bad and get Hooked!!

default userpic

AMC if you want to get people hooked on BrBa you should definetly run both seasons. You probably wont though so people will want to go out and buy them on DVD.

Just Aired all the episode, all of them are good to watch, but I prefer the episode 1.That episode is why I'm watching this series in the first place.
