Question: Who do you think will discover Walt's secret first?
Winner: silent: "It could be that Jesse's parents find out first. Reason is, Jesse is having an attack of his conscience. He will no doubt talk to someone, who may be his mom. Jesse's mom will then have to be bribed with all of the money, not to talk."

Whats the best advice Walt gets in Season 2? That's too easy Clayton. When Walt has his sit down with Gus at the chicken shop. Gus tells Walt that "You cannot trust a junkie" or something to that effect. No exactly advice, but Gus might be inferring that Walt needs to lose Jesse, because Jesse is a Junkie.
It would be when the lawyer tells him he needs to do business with a business man instead of a thug, someone who genuinly appreciates his product and is all about business and who only deals in bulk - Someone, who doesn't just beat people to death after snorting a line and steals your dope, or throws you in the trunk of a car.
Best advice was without a doubt,
Jesse telling Walt to get a
"Criminal" lawyer
That came through to the tune of a 1.2 million dollar deal !!
What also was good advice, was when Saul told Walt he should launder the money through his own website, using a hacker to make small anonymous deposits through zombies all over the country. Good advice Saul!
Actually I take that back.
Best Advice:
Jessie told Walt that he should think of something "scientific" to save them, when they were going to die in the desert. He talked about maybe building a dune buggie or robot, but also mentioned a battery.
Also in the same episode
The funniest part of the season:
Walt said "That's it!"
Jessie said "What?"
Walt: "You said it yourself"
Jessie: "A robot?"
Best Advice:
The last episode, Walt is about to tell Skyler the truth about everything.
Skyler says that whatever it is, she may not even want to know - she pretty much told him to keep it to himself.
The best advice Walt received in Season 2 came from Jesse, when he and Walt were being held captive by Tuco.
Jesse tells Walt "You should be like all sacrificial, jumping on a grenade, yo."
Because Walt at his core is a principled man, he will eventually be forced to sacrifice himself in order to save his family and friends.
"4 days out"
jesse tells him he needs to think of something scientific....like a battery......or robot......yo
Best advice: Skyler indirectly telling Walt to keep his secret silent. She knows that whatever it is, it will ruin their marriage and their family. When she tells him that she's afraid to know what it is, Walt is advised to devise a less devastating secret, and therefore, to continue lying.
The very best advice came from another drug dealer, the man at Pollo's. He said, "You can never trust a drug addict".
The second best advice he got came from the same person: "If you have a complaint, I can refer you to our web site".
Just watched Episode 201 "Seven-Thirty-Seven" again. In the junkyard scene No-Doze admonishes Heisenberg and Jesse to "Remember who you're working for". How Prophetic, as Tuco turns around and beats the living snot out of No-Doze.
In my opinion best advice for Walt is:
"You don't want a criminal lawyer. You want a criminal lawyer"
The second best:
"Better call Saul"
Do business with a business man instead of a thug, someone who genuinly appreciates his product and is all about business and who only deals in bulk - Someone, who doesn't just beat people to death after snorting a line and steals your dope, or throws you in the trunk of a car!!!
I think that when Saul tells Walt that him and Jessie suck at being drug dealers and that they should stick to cooking was the best advice. Most of there mishaps up until now were from selling at such a low level of the food chain and stepping on toes.
The best advise that Walt received(but did not take) was the non verbal communication that Combo gave him by being gunned down on a street by a 10 year old on a bike.
The best advice was from Don about "just loving your daughter." The advice led Walt to finally confront his emotional connection with Jesse and to try to save him. Ironically, this led to Jane's death, however Walt is constantly taking one step forward and two steps back. While Jane didn't need to die, she was a bad influence on Jesse (I don't think it was the other way around, she chose to do drugs again, he didnt make her). Walt had been losing emotional connections with the people around and him and him reaching out to the person who needed it the most is the reason why despite Walt's bad decisions, I'm still rooting for him.
Never trust a drug addict.
Donald gave Walt the advice to never give up on family, and after hearing this advice in the episode "Phoenix" Walt does not give up on jesses in the next episode , rather he helps him at his time of need.
The bese advice:
The doctor told Walt not to keep stuff like this to yourself because it could be life-threatening. He said this because Walt was coughing up blood and didn't mention it until it was almost too late.
Walt had just assumed it was the cancer, but it was actually just a rupture in the throat, but Walt could have had internal bleeding and bled to death (according to Dr. House).
Or...
The best advice was when Jessie said that they should kill Tuco before he kills them...
Good advice Jessie, a little late, but at least you and Walt lived through it...
Definitely it was Better Call Saul! Saul was a critical element of Season 2.
Saul: "A conscience gets expensive, doesn't it?" from Better Call Saul
When the unidentified man at the restaurant tells Walt to get to the location where the drug deal would take place in one hour. He says "don't be late" or the deal is off. If Walt didn't follow that advise and went to the hospital or didn't break into Jesse's place all that work they did would be for nothing. He would have no money and his wife still would of found out that he was hiding something from her.
I believe the best advice Walter receives is definitely when Walter goes to the bar and meets Donald (coincidentally) for the first time, sits down and has a beer as Walter talks about his "nephew"... Donald says
"Family.. you can't give up on them... never."
The reason it is the most important advice because without that advice, Walter may of just given up on Jesse, ultimately killing Jesse.
This also foreshadows the moment when Walters wife leaves him, whom he will undoubtedly try to reunite with in season three. His family,
in the first place was his sole reasoning for getting involved with being a drug manufacturer to make money before he died, so hearing this advice reminds Walter of his most important priorities.
make sure my hoodie is a XXXL or a XXXXL hoodie please, thank you ! (Im 6'3 , 300lbs) haha
PrestonWamsley, I like your Answer. Now on that request for a XXXL or XXXXL Hoodie. Sounds like a custom special order item, that might take awhile?
I'm going to assume Walt will re-neg on his promise to tell Skyler "the whole truth". That means Hank's department at the DEA will eventually narrow it down to Walt. Mostly because Walt is letting his greed overtake his caution.
Oh crap - I just noticed this is over already.
Saul telling him that he's like Fredo, not Vito was the best best advice that he's gotten this season. It made Walt realize that he's going to need help if he wants to go any further (or even just survive). Saul is who helped him expand outside of Albuquerque and him being a partner is really going to help Walt expand in the next season, even if it may not be the best idea.
Saul gives Walt a lot of advice and one of those Pearls of wisdom was to "Make hay while the sun is shinning". I like that one, Saul is saying do not waste time.
Best Warning… Saul says “ If I can find you how far behind, can the cops be”
Best Advice …Saul says “ Put a dollar in my pocket”
his son, no puede ser alguien mas, su hijo lo enyendera... o no sé, el pedo es que me late esta serie un buen, despes de PB, BB es la ver#$%
ah, pense q ¿¿ era otra cosa la pregunta
When Jane's father, Don, and Walt are at the bar drinking Fat Tires, Don tells Walt "Never turn your back on family." This piece of advice works on so many different levels. When he was given that advice, Walt thought of Jesse first and not his wife and kids he has been lying to. It will be interesting to see how he reconciles this dichotomy in the future. Jane’s death was very ominous of this advice. Even though Don had the best intensions, he turned his back for one nights time and he lossed everything, then lossed even more. That's the domino effect the drug world has to offer.
Best Advice is when Saul says “ Put a dollar in my pocket”
By Walter taking Saul’s advice and putting a dollar in Saul’s pocket Walt enlisted Saul as a critical advisor. If Walt had not put the dollar in Saul’s pocket then Walter would ; not had a way to fix Bangers Law problems, not had a way to launder his money , not made the connection with Gus , not had the “cleaner” come to Jesse’s home after Jane’s death. In other words that most critical piece of advice that Walt has followed has been when Saul said “Put a dollar in my pocket”. After all it was following this piece of advice that was the butterfly affect for the rest of the season.
You need a "criminal" lawyer. Great line, great advice and it worked for me too!
I believe that the first people to find out Walt's secret will be Jesse’s rehab peers. I believe that Jesse will crack and tell some people in rehab and in turn will spread Walt's secret like wild fire. With this happening I believe that Saul will have to be paid all of Walt's money for his reputation not to be destroyed.
When he went to visit his Mom and she told him
not to run with scissors
That you can't trust a junkie. While it was directed towards Jesse, I don't think it affected the way Walt viewed his partner. If anything, the line of advice may have been a factor when it came to Walt letting Jane die.
you can never trust a junkie
it proved to be true with Jane, and although Walt has sympathy for Jesse, he needs to learn that until Jesse goes straight, he can't trust him.
By far the best advice Walt received in season 2, was when Hank told him to have another Schraderbrau!
The answer has to be "Never Trust A Drug Addict." even though Walt is satisfied that "He Does What I Tell Him To." I miss Breaking Bad so much already!
Clayton - You have your work cut out for you this time around. There are so many good answers to your question posted here this time. Goes to show that there are some pretty serious fans of Breaking Bad out here, or maybe they just want that Hoodie!
I agree with you R.W. As I read through the posts I'm reminded all the great episodes and certain "special" scenes. One in particular, the bar scene with Donald. You never know what's ahead not even a few minutes. "Love your family."
Even though it's not original and Saul isn't my favorite character, I like best his advice to work with someone who keeps a low profile, someone "who is a lot like" Walt. I love that they've introduced Gus as a character and I can't wait to see how it develops next season. I hope he gets to stick around for a while!
You need a "criminal" lawyer, best advice ever, just ask Ron Bell.
The best advice in season 2.
Don't sh*t where you eat.
The best advice in season2 was when Walt sits at the bar and has a drink, Donald advices him to just love them, and then Walt realizes he needs to go back to talk to Jesse, but Donald advice only did harm.
Never trust a drug addict
From Donald during the scene in the bar when he gives
Walt advice about family. He says:
"Just love them. I mean, they are who they are."
and
"Family. Can't give up on them. Never."
Well other than his DEA brother inlay the only other person closer to the street would be his son.......
The right age for experimenting with drugs and being close to it.
Redrum
jz
Gus from los pollos ''that you can't trust a junkie'' well i guess thats what i'd consider the best advice or that he should get a crimnal lawyer.
Jessie recommended Saul because he got another drug dealer off on a technicallity when he was caught red handed.
Jessie's advice for Walt to get a "C-r-i-m-i-n-a-l" lawyer...heavy on the criminal.
Trying to win it for my wife! Cheers!!!
I'm pretty sure it was Saul basically telling him to get rid of skylers nagging ass and then he'd have his cash all to himself.
It may sound harsh, but its a damn good idea.
It is very difficult to choose my favorite moemnt in the serie, I remmember especially the mioemnt when Tuco's father tries to warm him not to trust in Walt and jesse with his little bell.
Great !!
I'm impatient to see the third season !!
Thank you for this fantastic serie !
