Talk Forum - What You're Saying

Throughout Breaking Bad Season 2, AMCtv.com will award Talk forum commenters quoted in our weekly "What You're Saying" post with prizes like a Breaking Bad t-shirt or a Breaking Bad baseball hat (limit one per person).
Breaking Bad fans wondered this week what will become of Jesse now that his drug habit has taken a dangerous turn, and speculated over what it could mean for his relationship with Walt.
• "Jesse breaks my heart in this episode. He's really a lost soul now. He doesn't want to go, either: He's scared to take the needle, but Jane talks him into it. Was it worth it?" -- DRKellogg
• "I thought they were trying to make Jesse into the more likable character, turning it around from the first season. After this episode, I think any chance of that went down the drain." -- ARobot
• "Walt might let Jesse go, but who would we root for? We all see even the honest are dishonest. We see Walt becoming his alter ego Heisenberg. Perhaps he can marry the two personalities." -- boop
• "I believe Walt's transformation to the dark side is complete and he needs to tie up his loose ends, Jesse and Jane, before things get more out of hand." -- Scematik
• "I'm sensing the end is near for Jesse I'm afraid his drug fueled romance with Jane is going to be more lethal than Walt's cancer." -- Werner K.
• "I'm getting nervous. I really don't think I'd have the heart to continue watching the show if they killed off Jesse. He and Walt started the business together and I've grown attached to them both equally." -- easilyjaded
• "As soon as I saw the kid circling Combo I knew he was bad news. A nine year old committing premeditated murder in the USA (Albuquerque, I assume) should seem more shocking." -- Soko

I think Jessie will realize this drug scene is not what he wants......Jane is worse than Eve was to Adam and this will have to end if Jessie is to remain a main character!
Wow!!! It's already been another week!
Congratulations, to ya'll! =)
damn i wish Jane was my girlfriend..
Wow. Greatest show I have watched. Seeing the pull of money(for his family?) from Walt and the agonizing pain Jesse is going through by allowing his GF to be his drug buddy. This is unheard of on TV. Yet this is everyday life for many in North America. Luckily not me, but have seen it and can relate.
Jesse and Walt have become real hero/villains. Please keep up the good work AMC!
BTW...Please convince a Canadian provider to pick this up!
Walt's inaction during the final scene has left me stunned. I don't see good things ahead for him at all. Makes me wonder even more who we will find in the body bags in his driveway.
Once again the episode was great, I was really shocked when Jane was coughing up on her own sputum and Walt didn't do a thing about it!! It looked like at first that he was going to help her survive, but then I guess in the back of his mind, he would get rid of one BIG BAD influence on Jesse's life, let her die a natural OD death and then go on from there. Anyway, it just shows Walt's veritable dark side, now it seems there's no going back...but he definitely has to get Jesse help, rehab, something to get this kid back on the right track, I hope this upcoming season gets everyone back on track. BRAVO AMC!!
I thought Jane would die, I just didn't know it would be Walt that basically let it happen. (The scene with the baby made it a point to show how you prevent aspirating on vomit, but placing someone on their side) Walt knew what to do, how to do it, but chose not to...I think Walt's guilt will surely get him. He's not completely Hiesenburg yet, and all of this guilt will get him, he will trip himself up the way people do when they hate what they are becoming. But I love that, while all this is happening, Walt is concerned for Jesse. I think it will be Walt who ends up saving Jesse's life. Jesse is such a deep down good kid, I hope he gets some help. Jesse may have a way out, but now, no matter what direction Walt takes, I don't see him coming out of this with his life, surgical intervention, not cooking Meth anymore or not. The pace and tone of the show have really gotten intense and scary, I now watch with only one eye open.
Janes fatal error was not telling her twelve step friends that she was renting to a drug addict. And make no mistake Jesse is a raging drug addict.
The final scene is horrific. Walt has now been involved in three deaths. He has created an almost monster in himself. So I am not sure how he might save Jesse.
Jesse is far from being a good kid. He, like most drug addicts may be lost and the goodness is buried deep within_ but the Jesse I know is pretty much a loser.
Back to the final death scene: That was one of the best few minutes of t.v. ever, It was so realistic not only in the actual death scene but also in the days leading up to the final tragedy; Jane lying to her Dad, promising to go to rehab, and the final horrible and so typical addict behavior of bargaining for one last go and dieing .
I will miss this wonderful show until next season
It was pretty shocking to see Walt kill Jane like that. It wasn't just that he let her die, she was sleeping properly on her side until Walt was shaking Jesse and she rolled onto her back. He then just saw the opportunity to let the vomit choke her when she puked. It's understandable though that he's under a lot of emotional stress at this time, feeling protective of Jesse, even though at the heart of it is a lack of trust. He didn't believe Jesse could handle his money by himself...
I have to agree with the previous commenters about the final scene. It was one of the most powerful moments in any TV show I've every watched. This is the best show on TV, bar none.
Jane was a junkie biatch, but I've totally lost it with Walt for letting her die that way. I hope the Big C eats his heart, if he still has one.
jane needed to go, she was probably gonna jack jesse for all that loot anyway....just worried about what her dad will do in retalliation.
by the way - ANYBODY who has turned on walt and jesse because of questionable moral decisions they have made lately should go back to watching THE HILLS. I've seen random D'bags whinin about jesse alot lately, let the writers write! this is one of the best groups of writers in the history of all original dramatic series ever made, and the frickin casting is Amazing! just when you didn't think it could get any better they drop Bob Odenkirk on us!! I have a feeling walt and jesse will safely make it to season 3.....
Its nothing personal with Jane I'm sure its just business,, Jane was the one corrupting Jesse. The man just lost his friend for putting him on the corner like B@#ch, and basically got him killed. Mr White is the hands clean kinda guy, but when he cant reach Jesse.....Gotta do what you gotta do for that ultimate payday, The baby or the money? Now that Jane is gone it can go either way. Jesse is going to lose it, the father (of Jane) is going to lose it, Walt is going under anethesia running his mouth. Now Sky is definetly suspicious about him keeping a secret which is going to boost her reasoning to have a affair with the boss.
Jane revealed what she really was when it came to that much money...I think Walt was really sad to let her die, but the facts are she had to go..she knew to much, to many threats and a junkie is a junkie! Walt and Jessie have a bond even if they don't want to admit it. It's a good thing they do, because Jessie will go off the deep end now and really need Walt. One more thing, Walt really wants credit for making that much money! Will he be able to keep his mouth shut!
Poor Jesse...he is so alone that he put a needle in his arm just to be with someone.
