Sorry, I wish I could be excited about this last episode and I'm sure some will think it's great but I'm disappointed. The plane incident is just a little too far fetched. There were many other avenues the writers could have taken for a cliff hanger...it was fine until the plane crash.
I disagree AlbqKid, the plane-crash wasn't a cop-out. It was symbolic. It was hyperbole - it signified the devastation Walt has caused. Very tasteful in it's grandiosity. Straight up.
Maybe this isn't the best place to discuss this, but the finale wasn't a cliffhanger. The show could end now without too many loose ends, but it will instead continue for another season.
Walt now has no family for which to provide, and all he has in their place is Saul, a blubbering junkie likely in rehab for a long time, a drug kingpin that might try to cut off loose ends, the wrath of the Mexican drug cartel, and a couple hundred thousand dollars - karma has finally caught up with him.
Jesse has been to the top, to the bottom, to hell and back, and if Walt doesn't try to get him to continue selling meth, he's either going to inject a ton of heroin into his arm, or he's going to go back crying to mommy and try to live a normal life.
i think Gus is going to put a hit out on walt now
plane crash was far fetched but awesome writing - kept us watching!!!!!! Thank You can't wait for next season
I've NEVER had anything on tv that kept me glued to me seat EVERYTIME it comes on. Everything about this show is AMAZING, , having to be in suspence for a week between shows was driving me insane, can't wait till next season.
I agree with azzaryin... this show gets me pumped up and i love watching it. i think you guys did a great job. disapointed i wont have a new episode to watch next week. im dying for hank to tell skyler!!! also, i love the ate up clips you sometimes show in the beginning. already anxious for next season
The clips that are shown after the plane crash in the beginning of the episodes sometimes show two body bags in Walts driveway. I think it emphasizes Walt and his son. Any thoughts? if that happens to be the case, no next season. And whats up with the pink bear?
BRAVO ! I'm Speechless ! Thanks to all involved in making Breaking Bad come to life. AWESOME ! At least now I know where that damn eyeless teddy bear came from.....been irking me from the beginning !!!
Now the long wait for Season 3....ugggg!!!!!
Does anyone have a clue as to how long the wait is until Season 3 starts?
The red teddy bear with detached eyeball works on many levels. There is something subtly macabre and darkly comic about a child's animal or doll toy with out an arm, eye or head; but when we learn later , as we sometimes suspect in TV, trailor park, train, plane and automobile metaphorical and related actual crashings and burnings, that like "Coke", its the real thing, then the we lose the subtle and comic part of the doll/teddy bear amputation, and scream inside as we realize that the mangled toy is accompanied by mangled flesh not far away.... and we wonder if the eyeball floating in the pool is too large and detailed to come from a toy....
Would the plane incident still be far fetched if it wasn't an accident?
My Husband and my sons look forward to Breaking Bad every week, Were addicted! It is such an awesome, thought provoking series. Cant wait til Season 3!!!
The whole idea of producing meth was to save Walter's life. Now after killing many people to say nothing of the suffering the meth is causing Walter's life is all but gone. He may live but what for he's lost everything. How can he redeemed? We'll find out in season 3 and I can't wait. I usually won't become involved in soap operas but this is a really great show.
I am so glad that this show is going to be on for another season. I haven't been this excited about a series since "Dead Like Me" and I can't wait for season 3. I loved the finale. Perhaps the plane incident was a bit far fetched, but then again, so is the series itself, I suppose. Doesn't matter to me. It's a amazing show and I'm hooked!
