Breaking Bad Renewed for Third Season

Those worried about Walt's declining health can breathe a sigh of relief (for now): Just four episodes into Season 2 and fresh off the heels of its Peabody Award, Vince Gilligan's Emmy-winning drama has been renewed for a third season.
Season 2, which debuted to 1.7 million viewers (a 21% increase over Season 1's premiere), has been hailed by critics as "utterly compelling," and "dark, witty, weird and addictive." The Hollywood Reporter claims Breaking Bad is "television as God intended," and Newsday predicts an "Emmy nomination for best drama seems certain."
Whatever the future holds, one thing is certain: Albuquerque hasn't seen the last of Heisenberg.

This is such great news :)
At last a good series that is recognized.
Good move on AMC's part. they can be proud they are having a good track record.
Thank you such a great quality show AMC.
Thanks AMC, for taking a risk in your new series development plans. Two of my favorite shows on television are Breaking Bad and MadMen. Excellent writing, directing, and acting on both series! I just love them. And if they are indicative of your high quality programming standards, The Prisoner is going to be a fantastic ride, too!
And with that being said, now the fans can sit back and enjoy each and every episode of season two knowing that next season is promised with even more Breaking Bad on AMC.
ever since season 1 came out i knew this show would be great been watching it since the begining its glad to hear a 3rd season will be here.. theres really no shows now a days that are worth watching or even bothering to remember when they come back on i waited all year for season 2 in excitement and i am relaxed now that i know next year i will be enjoying breaking bad again for another season
AMC may have become the Apple of cable television networks. That is, they are building a loyal (and growing) fan base, built on innovative and quality products. You see this in both Breaking Bad and Mad Men--my two favorite shows on TV...period!
Pleased to hear this, but I hope every season isn't just a repetition of the same "back to square one and up again" cycle we've seen so far. I like the show's leisurely pace, but due to the disruption to the Tuco storyline, I'm beginning to feel after S02E04 like things are getting a bit repetitious, with the characters failing to really grow intellectually at all. Same bumbling mistakes and poor communication skills episode after episode. I love all the characters, but I I don't want the movement of the greater narrative forever stalled in neutral.
Does anybody know how many episodes Season 2 is going to be? Not sure where to find this info.
Agreed with pf. I think Walt needs to move out of his house, otherwise it won't be believable to keep going through this cycle.
At the risk of sounding crazy for speaking straight to the writers, it would be interesting to see if Walt could really get his act together, become the drug kingpin he always wanted to be. If only he could get into the Power of the Small, realize it's not about the big money, but about the finer details. The small things are what drag us down... it would be nice to see him battle it out across the third season.
Breaking Bad ,what a great show . Too bad the networks dont have anything like it . But then again who needs the networks. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have great chemistry......... I hope the show lasts for ten years....It is just a well written show. Once you get in to it you are hooked.
What a great series.........
Cranston is GOD and he shall have IMMORTALITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep the meth cooking and let the Season 3 begin YO (Jessie's phrase) !!!!!!!!!
