Talk Forum - What You're Saying

Throughout Breaking Bad Season 2, AMCtv.com will award Talk forum commenters quoted in our weekly "What You're Saying" post with prizes like a Breaking Bad poster or a Breaking Bad t-shirt (limit one per person).
Fans loved Breaking Bad's Season 2 premiere than the critics -- and they spent the week dissecting Sunday's episode.
• "I loved the end because I was thinking "OK, we're gonna be on the run from Tuco all season,' and then ErrRrRRT! The car pulls up out front, Pandora's box (of cash) is sitting wide open in the baby's room, and Jr. is dipping chips off the fridge door." -- ern2150
• "My thoughts on the episode mostly pertain to Tuco: I gotta tell you his character is spot on. I'm almost positive they used my friend (former dealer) Elmo as the inspiration for the role." -- RCH2288
• "The episode reminded me a lot of horror movies -- the long shots down the hallway, the making of a mysterious poison, and then you-know-who emerges from the back seat like some kind of insane zombie. They've got some really great tension going." -- Kristina
• "I love that Walt's street name is Heisenberg. Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle is a landmark of quantum physics. In a sense it states that the position or location of a particle can never be absolutely determined no matter how carefully or accurately it is calculated -- just like Walt." -- Avogadro

Walt very cool, Tuco on the edge, Jess a freek. And Hank one dumb super cop. All in all excellent show. Keeps you hanging on to see what happens next. I am glad to see season two start off with a bang. This show should win all kinds of awards. So Walt better not die for alot of years. The good thing is the show just gets better and better all the time. Right on, I love it.
so big thanks to stephen king for his heads up on this show.. you nailed it on season two opener with the eye ball in the pool - this is a great show let's hope it stays for a while - great acting - great bad guys thank you for some television I can watch and enjoy ...
I have a question that is driving me crazy and I hope someone has the answer. I remember seeing a movie with this same plot exactly. I don't remember the title or the actors - nothing except that I remember the story. HELP! - before I do go nuts.
Wow! What an ending! Jesse got Tuco's waist-band gun and shot him in the gut - pushed him in the open pit - Walt and Jesse try to drive away in Jesse's car but realize the keys are still in Tuco's pocket. Getting out of the car, they realize from dust blowing on the road that someone is coming their way so Walt and Jesse lay belly-up in the sand, hiding. Jesse still has Tuco's handgun. Tuco has pulled himself out of the pit, as the person driving up turns out to be Hank who's looking for Jesse. Tuco, bleeding from the gut, has a shootout with Hank, Tuco using the other fully-auto gun Walt and Jesse left in Jesse's ride. Hank kills Tuco with a re-load of his duty piece. Across the dune, when Walt realizes it's Hank; it's 'Oh, shit!', tells Jesse and they take off running into the desert. Breathless!
This show is addictive!
Forget "The edge of your seat..." I was STANDING by the end of this episode! That was intense. This show really is more than just entertaining. It's truly exciting!
Raymond Cruz, I'm going to miss you as Tuco. I can't picture anyone else playing that part better. Thank you for giving your all for the role. I almost wish Tuco could have stuck around for a few more episodes... almost. >; ]
Keep up the great work, cast and crew. You guys are doing an awesome job!
The writing and direction is so well done. I was fortunate enough to have seen the pre-air release of episode 2 & 3, but I won't spoil it for anyone.
I love the part where Hang goes, "Aw, shi-" when he recognizes Tuco.
I love this show! Just keep it coming.
The writers are AWESOME on this show. The ending was classic. The last thing we here is DING-DING from Tios bell. Whoever wrote that ending should get a big fat raise!! I also love how you film outside and not trying to fake it on sound stages and fake background car scenes. This show is a diamond in the ruff and i hope it goes 10 seasons or more!!! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!!
In the very first episode, the set-up of Walt's character keeps running through my mind - scientist at Los Alamos - very conservative - went into teaching - very middle-class - his DEA brother-in-law considers him a boring doofus...as everything has progressed and Walt's character is unwinding. Also, the dichotomy between who Hank professes to be and who he really is - not very tuned-in to reality himself. Boy, Oh Boy, when Hank realizes what Walt has done and who Hank's wife REALLY is. After tonight's episode, I will miss Tuco too. Caliman (above) is correct; there couldn't have been a more fitting sound than Tios' bell clinking at the closing. That infirm old man, without a word or eye movement, set the stage for the meat of the episode.
I hope New Mexico is very grateful for their state being so handsomely filmed for this series.
Tuco realy played the part up well. To watch him was like seeing a couple of old x associates of mine. They took him out of the picture the right way real violent and bloody like. The best part of doing ol Tuco up like that is it wont be to hard to replace his character. He's just one shot of dope away.

you are full of beans... you have never seen anything like this show before !!!! anywhere ,
BRAVO- another great episode -- my mild mannered wife was screaming at the top of her lungs during the gunfights at the end ... well done to all, from the crew all the way to the producers .... this type of great art takes a total team effort from the set designers all the way up ...once again, I can't wait for next Sunday !!!!
export88, You might be thinking of the movie SPUN. It was about meth, i know Mickey Rourke was the cook. It was not like this show though.
High people. Never done this thing called meth. But holly S--T I am addicted to this show. Where does Jessy get his lingo? He sounds like hes a user, he plays an excellent part. Walt and Jessy a very good combination. Who ever screens for these people, they know what there doing. Thumbs up. To bad Tuco is gone, should have kept him for a few more episodes. Hank, thought he was going to shit his pants, wonder how many takes it took for that sequence. Love this show, cant get enough of it. Bou-ya Later fans.
Beeb, as a New Mexican I can't tell you how cool it is to see my beautiful state filmed on this show. I love the local flair they put in like the Dog House and Taco Sal's. Even the gas station where Walt blew up the jerk's car last season - Danny's Auto - is a real place that I have taken my car to before. It's on Lomas just west of Menaul. It is so fun to watch this amazing show.
1989 Monte Carlo?
Awesome show, what else can I say.
For critics (and you know how they can come off really pompous) who are giving 'Breaking Bad' a bad rap for showing explicit meth cook scenes, I say 'Wake Up'! This is a window on real life, baby. Pay attention to the big picture; there's gotta be 'Walt's' and 'Jesse's' and Tuco's really out there! Human beings do sh*t for their own reasons and when we read just a newspaper account of a drug arrest and trial a lot more of us will be thinking 'what is the back story?'
