Perspective Mag on Show's Production Design; Meet the Cast in ABQ

Breaking Bad Production Designer Robb Wilson King sees his job as grounding Vince Gilligan's "intriguing and unconventional" narrative in "visual reality," he writes in Perspective, the journal of the Art Directors Guild. King strives to "bring a feature-film quality to episodic television" while bringing "a great deal of attention both to the designed sets and the wonderful, untapped New Mexico locations to bolster the narrative's scope and scale." For season two, he reveals that he created a regional Drug Enforcement Administration Headquarters, which required gutting the ninth floor of the first high-rise built in downtown Albuquerque.

Fans of Breaking Bad will have a chance to meet members of the cast, including Emmy winner Bryan Cranston, for what's billed as "Conversations with Breaking Bad". The catch? You'll have to be in Albuquerque this Saturday, October 25. The panel will also include Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, Dan Norris, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte and Steven Quezada.
