Walt White (Bryan Cranston) gets an offer that's hard to refuse in these promos for Season 3.
The actor explains what it takes to be a cleaner, dishes on his kiss with another (male) Breaking Bad cast member and hints at the biggest mess he's ever had to clean up.
The actor discusses a father's worst nightmare, the nature of panic and how his Breaking Bad role has changed his perception of airplane travel in AMCtv.com's exclusive interview.

does anyone know who does the song on the newest "Breaking Bad" commercial??
Is this a series glorifying the drug of Crystal Meth?
You know what... I sincerely do not condone this type of pandering to a segment of society growing in number each day whose central preoccupation revolves around the pain & suffering associated with drug abuse or the easy lore of fast money....
HOWEVER, with that said, I also recognize that AMC has maintained a level of entertainment integrity which has (mostly) transcended that level of pandering that too many in the movie industry seek to establish and present as common-place often fulfilling societies worst nightmares.
I don't know how much sense you can make out of that, but I will go on record saying that I really enjoyed the 1st episode... the character development, subplot, locations... the way it was shot. And I believe that as the episodes progress the viewer will have the opportunity to reflect on more than just the base qualities associated with drugs, guns and cash... that there will be a bigger message appealing to a wider audience, an opportunity to watch the growth of two people at opposite ends of the spectrum grow thru their experiences.
Chemistry - changing from life to death and reborn.
I, for one, consider "Breaking Bad" a nuclear bomb of a success. Funny and thought-provoking. Thank you AMC. This makes up for "Mad Men"
His lil booty looks so cute in the tighty whiteys... and the apron.
Seriously, I love the show.
My life in a nutshell- except for the meth, the money and the chemistry. My lungs seem to be ok too... Why did relate to this guy?? Dunno, but I sure am cheering him on!
I'm a fan in one show!
Awesome! Blew me out of the water...As for Walt, well, I think he made his first break when he lashed out at the manager of the car wash and then iced it when he grabbed his cojones exclaiming, "Wax these!" All of the humiliating experiences he suffered were just a catalyst for "Breaking Bad"
This is going to be the best new original series since Weeds.
I'd have to say this is the most hypped and controversial new series out yet.....and I loved it, apart from the Drug aspect of this. This is a story of providing and survival for this mans family. It is also a reawakening and soon we shall see how mild and meek may transform into something he really wants to be. Love the show congrats and I hope you continue the make a cutting edge film such as this for people who truly enjoy real life human interest films. It's always a struggle to get by.......
To ALL involved in this production, WOW, COOL, KUDOS,
EXCELLENT!!!! Good job Bryan Cranston. 4REAL !!!! I think like it. 4SURE!!!!
Peace.
I really liked everything about this show! The way that it portrays the use of science is extremely ironic and funny, and it was largely accurate at the same time. Being a chemist myself, I love seeing a show dealing with chemistry whatever the application is. The funny thing was I had a distillation experiment going on while I was watching the show, so I found that quite appropriate because my kitchen looked like a meth lab while I was watching. I enjoyed the story, characters, plot line, etc. I'm defiantly already a fan.
BIG FAN, love it, will watch it for many episodes (hopefully) to come.
Thank you AMC for bringing such an original show to cable. I was getting tired of all the CSI and Law and Order rehashes.
Breaking Bad première was truly amazing and a breath of fresh air.
Walter Whites iconic statement “I am awake…” says it all.
I understood his bored, lifeless existence and his just going with the flow.
I felt his pain as his obnoxious rich students laughed and took photos of him while having to wash their car…
I cheered when he stood up for his son in the clothing store and laughed when things in the RV went from bad to worse then the fire trucks drove by.
Definitely a hit with the feelings of ‘cult status’ on the horizon.
Way to go AMC – I’m hooked!
With all the problems of the meth craze nowadays, you would think people who have the ability to be a role model would know that showing Breaking Bad will leave an unfavorable impression on impressionable young people. Whether people want to admit it or not TV is impressionable. Children learn from what they see and hear on TV. Now you have a show that is taking a teacher, no less, and showing that it's ok to break the law. I don't care if this person is dying. Breaking the law is breaking the law and you are telling people "It's ok to break the law - I'm dying from a terminal illness.
Well I am going to tell every parent I know not to let their children watch this trash.
Although it may seem that Breaking Bad is leaving an unfavorable impression on young people now, the show isn't continuing in that direction. As the show progressives, they plan to show the dangers of meth and how it negatively effects those involved and their families. In no way do they want to glorify meth. (Source: behind the scenes footage)
Don't get me wrong, I am a huge supporter of sensorship, and I understand the negative effect the media has on the youth. However, if the show is heading in the direction I think it is, it may prove to be a successfull way to show the detrimental efffects of drugs. Once a few more episodes air, better judgement can be made.
WOW! We used to call it CRANK. Sure seemed fun- 'till the hangover. OUCH- Who's driving sheet pile in my bedroom- Wait- THIS ISN'T MY BEDROOM!!!???
We know it's made from four deadly chemicals...cooked together they kill you a little slower. I remember low-lifes cuttin' out lines on people's car fenders outside trendy clubs. Just think- after last call, you go to your car and rust has already started from the razor gashes and caustic chemicals eating the paint. Now THAT'S glamorous.
We do have a lot to thank METH for... If Hitler wasn't injecting meth a couple of times a day we'd have a different world. I wouldn't expect a TV show like this in a NAZI regime.
This is adult entertainment. Kids shouldn't see it without a strong mentor pointing out the dark side. I remember wild stories about prohibition my dad would tell me. I don't think anything today compares. I learned how bathtub gin took many peoples sight if not their lives. Look how the Godfather movies and The Sopranos glorify the basest greed of society.
If dope and prescription drugs weren't regulated, the money that creates these parasites wouldn't exist. I mean the gang bangers NOT the more insidious corporate thieves- we may never get rid of them.
Funny how we cheered the killing of Walt's tormentors by phosgene gas. THAT killing was OKAY. We can expect oodles of whining from the right about this show- of course THEY have their own opiate and it causes more heartbreak than anything on TV ever could.
I don't see Walt having a happy ending with this one. Let's not forget he's creating misery for his own gain. It's a vicarious thrill and I think it's almost as much fun as MADMEN!
BRAVO!!!
I don't condone meth making or use! However your show had me at hello... Breaking bad is original and ground breaking and outstanding in performance. This show grabs viewers attention and locks you into the story line. Bravo, hooray, and ohh yeah AMC you have hit a nerve and got me addictted after one episode congrats! Your show is as edgy as FX's The Shield you have a real winner. I look forward to the rest of this season can't wait for dvds.
"Breaking Bad" -- and Walt is certainly doing that! That was the most creative way of 'dispatching' the two drug lords; no doubt about it! Why do I suspect a "Hoffa-esque" final ending for those two? This isn't exactly the "Better Living Through Chemistry" that we learned of in our youth, but Episode Two is going to be just as interesting as E-1. I'm still wondering if there wasn't "some" interest from the Fire Department passing the ditched mobile home and the guy standing there in just a green shirt and apron, holding something behind his back! As Yogi says, "It just gets interestinger and interestinger!" Episode Two is going to be e x c e l l e n t !
hanovercoon,
The song you're referring to is "Trouble" by Pink. For future reference, we're listing the music used in the commercial spots and in each episode in this thread:
http://blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad/music/
Loved the pilot ep, subsequent replays have been edited so much I can't even watch them though.
Can't wait for unedited, unrated DVD I guess.
This is one of the few shows that I can tolerate on television (series').
Great job, I know about next to nothing about Chemistry, or Meth... I dont' take drugs, and know right enough to know that it is not the path to take no matter how bad things may be, but it's a great story, and he's an interesting character given his situation how he responds (Walt)...and I can appreciate the great acting, great story, and like I said can't wait to see it in it's true form someday without the censorship, and editing in later eps.
It is certainly better (100 times better) than some over dramatic partly scripted reality show about meth....great job AMC!
Hey just saw this show last night -very cool, very good. I am sick of Reality TV - (I do suggest a double bill of Celebrity Rehab with Doctor Drew as a good lead in to BB.
The Eagle
I'm watching from Canada. Did the original broadcast bleep the F bombs and blur the boobs? What's up with that? Not that's it a huge deal but it emotionally blurred and bleeped the rest of the story for me waiting for the next amc inappropriate expletive or chest exposure edit. It's a story of a desperate man and drugs! There's bound to be more boobs and swear words. I guess amc feels that boobs and swear words are far more evil than showing drug manufacturing and killing drug dealers. I like watching both! I'm just confused.
This is one great show! What a plot - What a storyline - What great acting! Havent seen much posted about the acting yet. So I will start. Bryan Cranston is getting all of the hype - why shouldnt he? He is a very talented and gifted actor. But Aaron Paul - for some reason - even though i know he is an actor - I "believe" everything about him (his character). I have watched Aaron in several other films and tv spots (I even remember a Juicy Fruit commercial that was hysterical), and I just wanted to take this time to give him some kudos on a job well done! Aaron Paul is a tremendous actor, and I hope the series prevails greatly for him, as well as the rest of the cast, producers, amc, and the likes. I didnt mean to leave out the other actors, but I just felt Aaron deserved to be in the spotlight a bit. In my opinion, Aaron Paul is the *star* of this series! I think this series will "steamroll" into a long lived event. Long Live Breaking Bad. LLBB
This show is awesome I don't know what it is yet but it has awoken something inside of me. NO, I'm not going to start cooking meth, but a few years ago I became disabled because of a back injury and have just sat around doing nothing. After seeing the first episode it makes me want to do more in my life, but in a good legal way!
Walt is a great character and my hats off to Bryan for playing him so well.
The premier of the pilot that appeared on Sunday, January 20/08 at 10 pm EST in our neck of the woods did not contain any deleted expletives, and, also included a frontal nude of the house wife from whom Pinkman was making a dash. The same, to the best of my knowledge, applied to the first encore presentation which immediately followed the first broadcast of the pilot the same night at 11 pm.
In the same time slot on Monday the 21st, during the second encore presentation, (how may times can an encore air before no longer being an encore?), the langauge was cleaned up, and the housewife suddently sprouted a bra.
AMC's homepage now shows there will be another encore presentation, the 3rd, (not that I'm complaining!), this Thursday the 24th in the same 10 pm EST time slot. I hope Standards and Practices are told where to go between now and then, lest the 3rd encore presentation be neutered of its linguistic emotionality.
Im hooked on this show and encouraging everyone else to watch! It does not glorify drugs or gang activity by all means. Finally something on television that has substance!! Want to see Breaking Bad come back for several more seasons!
I hate to spoil everyone's fun here, but are you out of your minds producing a show that glorifies meth use? I live in Hawaii, and within a four day period a two year old child was thrown over an overpass onto the freeway by a meth addict and woman was killed when her meth addicted boyfriend bashed her head in with the butt of a shotgun. Four years ago a young man set his mother and aunt on fire (they both died) Because his mother kicked him out of the house for using meth. This stuff is the REAL meth story. There is nothihg funny or entertaining about it. Shame on you producers for trying to make a buck on glorifying the worst scourge that destroys communities, families and lives.
The character Mr. White, is the typical 40/50 something man these days who is facing economic straights that seem insurmountable. Working one job fulltime and another part time trying to make ends meet and never having a break. Then to be told all he has worked for is about to come to an end because of his health. He can either watch his life and health come to an end along with his family's ownly hope of survival after his death. Or he can find a way to provide for his family after he is gone. Desperation makes a man do what he would not normally do when it comes to protecting and providing for his family. He will steal food or shoot a burglar or yea even make crystal Meth.
Too many whiners in here. This is TELEVISION folks. It is not real life. If you are offended, don't watch. If you are worried about children watching, don't let them - buy a parental block system and put it on your TELEVISION. If you can't afford one, get a second job to pay for it - better yet - cancel your internet (that would surely help buy blocking systems for whom you are worried about watching this TELEVISION program that can't afford it), apply for Federal funding, and start a crusade to pay for blocking systems for the less fortunate. This is a funny, modern day program that does NOT glorify Meth use or sales, rather, it shows the harsh reality of it while putting a comedic spin on it that some of us actually enjoy watching. In summation, if you dont like it, dont watch it. There are bigger fish to fry in this world than venting on a forum about a TELEVISION show.
LLBB
This show.... the entire cast, the writing, the camera, everything about it can be summed up with one word..... "brilliant" . Everyone involved should be very proud of themselves. Keep going!
I commend AMC for airing such a fresh new program. Being gutsy enough to get away from the mindless drivel of reality TV and showing a real show with professional actors, is pleasing. For those of you who our offended, or even banning AMC for its potrail of Meth, your problems are bigger than a television show. I hope that you people do stop watching, not only AMC but TV entirely. Pick up a book, talk to your kids, because if you think seeing a family man ruining his life due to drugs is glorification, you have plenty of your own issues to deal with. AMC keep'em coming!
Is the show glorifying meth??? Well, before you take the time to get on a message board and ask, why not take the time to watch it first before making the accusations. Were you asking yourself if Michael Douglas was glorifying violence in the movie Falling Down? Was Al Pachino glorifying cocaine in Scarface or any of the umpteenth million block buster movies about the illicit cocaine drug smuggling trade? Yes, they were.
Ah, I see, you are a drug racist. It’s meth so “oh my, the humanity.” Get over it. All that stupid little box you glue yourself in front of has to do is be entertaining. That is it. It owes you nothing more.
Most of the stuff you watch glorifies sex, (other) drugs, and violence, so don’t get all morally uppity now. Besides, it has far more to do with nice guys don’t get ahead in this world where society values the insubstantial things. A former-gangsta rapper guilty of murders can make billions of dollars massacring the English language, but a high school chemistry teacher has to work a second job waxing cars in this backwards society. But that’s subtext and content and you probably can’t get passed the horror of crystal meth hysteria.
Rather, sit back and enjoy the entertaining story line because I promise you, tweakers are some of the most hilarious people to watch on the planet and the subject matter is very promising.
And, remember, speed was the housewife drug of the 40’s and 50’s. It was the most widely prescribed drug in America during that time. America has always been able to hook you up for a speed high because it keeps you working, productive. It’s the most American of all drugs. And, then, ask yourself what pharmaceutical cocktails are you on now. What? Like Paxil? Valium? Xanax? Oxycotin? Don’t be such a drug racist, the real dealer is at your local Walgreens.
I love this show! Have watched the episode from last week a couple of times the past few days. Very dark. But excellent! Can't wait to follow along with Walt!
i never heard of this show as i rarely watch TV, flippin through channels i came across this one, its flippin awesome, ill be watching this show for sure, and as far as people being worried about the drugs in the show, i believe this show airs really late, so if your kids are up that late to see the show maybe you should be more worried about your parenting skills
Only caught the second half of the pilot, but WOW. Awesome. Thank you for putting together some original programming. Haven't had the pleasure of seeing something so cynical and funny since Starved. Will catch up with the first half and can't wait for the next episode.
Kudos to Vince Gilligan--a genius. This is incredibly smart and full of feelings. Intelligent and empathetic souls will be touched by this. Maybe that's why a select few understand and "get" it. Those lucky souls feel the every man in Walter White. A vulnerable man, all the while putting on a brave face in the midst of his crisis. Even though he knows who loves him, he's not that much less anquished.
To the advertisers: I have watched this show 5 times now. It is the only show I WILL sit through and watch the commercials. AMC has the right formula for the future of television. I have watched many other AMC presentations. They are truly first class TV broadcast company.
Sorry Kids and Soccer Moms... But there has to be at least 1 or 2 REAL Reality shows on TV for ADULTS... That really ARE REAL!! If you don't agree with the content of this show for your Kids.... Then lock the Child Proof Cap on your TV... I mean isn't that why you have it? Then tell your kids to go blow up, or kill something on their Playstations! But then there's always the wholesome Family Hour 6 O'Clock News! Ahhhh... WAR.... MURDER....Gang Killings and Child Abductions.... Not to mention Full Grown Adult Politions ... Sleeping around....With Males or Females... doesnt matter...( Hey..If Ministers can do it....What the Hey!...) not to mention the Quarreling...Snitching..and Finger pointing.. ( Just like School!!) Now there's some Wholesome TV! There's Always "The Simpsons"!
Sorry Soccer Moms... ( Like Chula... or... ConcernedMom..) But there is a REAL WORLD out there... that isn't going to DISSAPEAR.... Just because its NOT depicted on TV ! Sooner or later, your child will have to deal with it. Either here on the streets of America... or in Iran someday!
This is GREAT REALITY TV... I haven't seen a TV station YET... that has had the HONESTY to write like this in Forever! This Could Happen to YOU! As soon as your FORECLOSURE goes thru!
" AUTHOR !!!....AUTHOR...!!! "
This might be just what America needs to bring it out of its " Betty Crocker Coma !"
Keep up the Great .. ( and REAL ) Writing!
.... and for you Ozzie and Harriet Ostriches out there.... LISTEN UP.......
" What kind of society is it that would encourage the parent to shelter their child
from any outside influences.... and THEN PUNISH THEM, by putting them out in a world....
THEY NEVER HAD ANYWAY
OF LEARNING ABOUT ??? " "
Michell Shocked
HEY CHULA !!!!!
You want to transfer all that energy about a TV show to the Genocide in Africa!!!! Or maybe to some Teenagers in the South that put Hangmans Nooses in trees at a school hangout? Or maybe you could funnel some of that POSITIVE "Betty Crocker Coma" creative energy towards some of the displaced people in the Gaza Strip.
JEEZE! Its just a TV show.... If we listened to you...or made you a TV Censor... We would only have The Tellatubbies... and Martha Stewart...
( OPPS... SCRATCH THAT..!! )
I mean "The Wiggles" on TV. Maybe you should set your Younguns down in front of a Test Pattern! Or Better Yet... take a hint from "LIONSNACKS" and get your Thong outta your Tight Area!
ITS A TV SHOW!!!! NOT REAL... POOKIE!
Go watch some WORLD NEWS! Hey... Just watch some local news for that matter....
( Hmmm...WAIT!... I think your doing to much of that already!)
What next.... You going to start attacking Crazed Starbucks Patrons for Vehicular Homicide for vearing out of their lanes on the way to work, because of spilling hot coffee on their laps, and creating a 4 car pile-up? ( Wait... or was that McDonalds???) Sorry....
PS... Your not one of those "Born Again 60's Hippy".... are you? ( Abbey... Is that you??")
Your NOT SERIOUS... are you??? ...Your really starting to make me wonder if we have any hope as a civilization at all ....if you are! Arn't you with the people who STARTED "The Betty Ford Clinic"?
And why was that again???? For people who were... "Breaking Bad" right? Can you Please give us the cure for Cancer... AIDS and Ignorace... since you seem to know all the answers and know Exactly what to do to SAVE MANKIND!
( MOAN !!!! )
I have watched almost every showing of the 1st 2 episodes.. ( like 4 ? Don't even need Tivo!) and I can see this Series going for many... many seasons! And I thought they couldn't out do The Sopranos... or Deadwood! I have emailed anyone with intellect to watch this show! Already got returned KUDO's for that! Hope they have enough episodes in the can for a few weeks... writers strike and all....!!!
Hang on to your Hats Guys...
THIS is "THE SHOW!"
How can people say this show glorifies meth? Have you even watched the show? I grew up in a tweeker town in the High Desert of California, it was the top cooking area in the USA. This show is reality , if you want politically correct watered down TV watch Barney.
I was very excited about this show, it sounded like it would be different and interesting. I was sadly disappointed. The pace was too slow in some areas, and too fast in others. It was absolutely full of plot holes, and the research into the drug culture was seriously lacking. Completely unconvincing, poor acting, and they were doing things no meth user/maker would do. Ridiculous in terms of authenticity.
Absolutely loved the first episode, can't wait for tonight's! The Albuquerque landscape describes Walt's middle-class lifestyle to a T. Much more realistic/believable than some Hollywood back-lot. (of course, now that I've said that... I'm sure I'll find that is was filmed entirely in California)
Hey....
At least their closer than Dragnet! Then they gave us "Roseanne" and that was closer to a "Real Family" than "Happy Days" The only way they can show Real Life these days is in a "Cartoon" called the "Simpsons" !!!
In a world where comercials that tell you to invest your REAL money with them, is a computer animated human, riding a Gondola up to the Ski area....( OK...except for my money...How REAL is that??) I'd say this is better than anything else out there. I mean come on.... When was the last time you seen 2 Italians in a fine restaurant parking lot... beating the shit out of someone... SHOOTING and KILLING THEM... and driving away... with no one the wiser.... No investigation.... No one really questioned about the incident! ( Soprano's) This is suppose to be modern day stuff....not the 1920's ! And that show got MANY little gold statues for being so lifelike!!!!
If the producers put all the REAL things that could actually happen, in real life, into a show... It would be so MUNDANE... you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the show and the comercials.
When they get THIS close to reality... Ya gotta give them a "WTF" This is GOOD TV... or at least the best thats out there...if you compare. So, I'm good with that for now. Kudo's to the producers for even stepping up this close! They are definately penciled in on my dance card for every Sunday night!
the fact that it can and is possibly "real" is the best part of the show! i love it .. commercials over.. ill be back!
Oh MY GOD
I am laughing my ass off...!!!
I love this show too much.
These actors are way too good....
As I said before ..."life, death & rebirth." This show will last forever!!!
I love this serie!! is truly original! I feel like braking bad my self! is a nice feeling that is not just me!
Why did Walt put money in the washer/dryer, as in the end of the show? I've seen this in movies before, where counterfeit money was made, but I don't know what the connection is to the show.
Todays episode was funny ,although I though his wife was going to think that her husban was turning homosexual (you know ! ..since she does not know what's" MILF" ..she may think is something to do with" Male Intercourse League of Friends".. it would of been funny ) (or maybe not!!) any ways ..is a shame ..I think this series have better potential than the sopranos ..but not to many people watch Amc.. plz don't kick me out for saying that ! but it be nice if you guy's send me a t shirt of breaking bad ..or like c.s.i. have fan take the stage for a brife minute (dead body..student, drug adict something exiting you know!)
THIS SHOW IS SOOOO POLITICALLY INCORRECT, IMMORAL, IRRESPONSIBLE, & I LOVE IT...
If AMC were just out to make money, it would NOT show the down-side of the drug world; Crazy 8, Emilio, guns, near-death experiences, actual-death experiences, the DEA, and having to deal with Jesse's typical 20-something punk-ass, computer raised, never-built-a-fort-in-the-woods, whining, weak, wigger, smart-*ss KID (who does a fantastic job acting). NO, It would only portray espisodes that felt like the Fun, Profitable parts of movies like; 'Blow', and 'Goodfellas', but it gave us the fun with the bad right off the bat.
And, Oh Yea, 'Concernedmom' your grandmother probably said the same thing about 'The Three Stooges'.
TELEVISION IS AN ESCAPE! Its on at 10:00pm, Sunday night. CM if your so concerned about what parents are letting kids watch, then censure the cartoons that are full of subliminal, & non-so-subliminal violence.
And for the rest of you silly, sniveling whiners, If you have ever been even remotely close to the drug world (not your kids, or your sibling, or your friend, but you, & we know who we are), you know that it is not something you toy with, the people, the places & things that one encounters are enough to scare the SH*T out of you in about 2 seconds.
I was going to going to give an individual, by name, i-pat on the back to those of you that submitted positive & intelligent comments...but there's to many of us.
SOOOO, to those of you that don't get it (and will probably not ever get many truely satisfiying things in life), swim to shore because YOUR BOAT is definitely sinking.
AMC...PLEASE...KEEP...IT...COMING!!!...
Love,
Kevlarster
.
PS This blog is for 'Breaking Bad'...Quit your fighting ladies!
hey ..how can someone "break bad " without doing something bad?? any show in tv seam's to be bad now days!! remember the days when the teletovies were a subject of congress talk.. like,"the man inside the costum is guy" or some itsh like "pansie wansi is wareing a handbag .." how about the smurfs or scoobie doo ..as a child back then, adults revel itsh that I did not pick on! all I'm saying is don't matter what generation you were born ,entretaiment was always negative in some way ..Gladiator fights(if you still a live) ,Cowboys movies, rock and roll, New york under cover, Nintendo , 1980 movies about the cold war..etc! I look this show as my on strogle to be a "good boy" now days ! you try to fallow the right path and insted of good things you get more bad itsh ! and one look around and say ..am'I waisting my time being nice and polite everyday?? is there anybody apriciating my effort?? am I less atractive for being nice ?? ..I totally get the main charector ..I'm way younger than him and do't want to end like that! ok ok i may need some psyco..help ..what ever! I love this show ..and remember you and the psyco are watching the same show!
Breaking bad is the new dawn of great shows. Brian Cranston is a great actor, perfect for the role. Even his role as Hal; in malcom in the middle. Which was still a great show,. The emotions he shows are life-like, and very well portrayed.
I live life around drugs everyday, and this show hits close to home for me. Some people say that this show glorifies crystal meth, but if any thing they show the true power of the drug. People throw there own perceptions of life away to make the money. But I've hustled drugs everyday since graduating high school, and let me tell you the money doesn't come quick. this show is the beggining of a whole new realization. Drugs are there, and they are being used by a lot of people. but if you think it is that easy just watch the rest of the season. If i could rate the show as a critic i would give them a five out of five stars, as a ground breaking new searies that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the next week. A truly magnificent piece of art.
THANK YOU PRODUCERS, ACTORS, WRITERS, EDITORS, AND EVERYBODY ELSE THAT MAKES THE SHOW POSSIBLE.
Dr. Titus-------fourundar@yahoo.com
p.s. I would love to get the seasons on dvd, if i have to pay a lot so help me i'll pay. Thanks again
WOW!! Last night's show was BRILLIANT and AMAZING!!! Too bad so many people here are interpreting the story line incorrectly. If anything it is showing what path not to take and does not glorify these real issues in any way. Cant wait for the next episode please enourage everyone you know to watch. I know I am!! Need to keep this show alive!
These are some interesting comments. I think what's great about this show is in how many ways it can be interpreted--none of which are necessarily "wrong."
In case any of you are curious, you can go to our Breaking Bad Talk Forum ( http://blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad/talk/ ) to how other people are reading the show and its messages.
Breaking Bad is a delight. I expected to find Carl Hiassen as one of the writers, because this show had to come from the same kind of twisted and funny mind. Yes, this show isn't for kiddies, but if you think it's glorifying meth production and use, you're not watching the same show that I am. This is the best writing, production, and directing that I've seen in 7 years. Great work people!
I'm still trying to understand the meaning to the title of the show " Breaking Bad " . Could it mean " Breaking Bad....News ", In reference to Walt's diagnosis with terminal cancer ?
Maybe its because he was having a mental breakdown, and then turned bad, but i dunno
Episode Two quickly tumbles the viewer into the edgy world that Walt now inhabits, there is no going back.
I now see the Winnebago as a metaphor for the crushed and battered American dream,(Retirement that is worry free, easy living, traveling the country on cheap gas) ironic that it is an American Indian who helps salvaged the battered Winnebago from it's wrecked position off the desert road.
But the problems are just beginning, as young Jesse, Walt's partner, is beginning to loose his cool, maybe we see that Jesse's cockiness is more of a defense or act,and that he has not encountered the dangerous side of drug dealing.
The bodies of Emilio and Crazy 8 (the drug distributors who tried to execute Walt and Jesse) are lying in the (Winnebago) and evidence and witnesses pointing directly to Walt and Jesse, and their activities, foreshadow that this is not going to be a free ride.
If that isn't bad enough, the writers twist the plot even further with references to Dawn Of The Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but this nightmare is not occurring on the outskirts of town, but in the middle of (again) "the suburbs "The American Dream".
Stellar work, again!
@ camlyn: Break Bad (v.) 1. to challenge convention 2. to defy authority 3. to raise hell
Sounds like all three apply to Walt...
All of the people in here leaving positive comments for this show all need to have your heads checked!!!!
This show is a DISGUSTING display of glorifying the use of CRYSTAL METH!! Selling it, cooking it, smoking it! Are you serious?
Any person here that thinks this is ok, has not watched friends and family members literally pick their faces away and bodies to get away from the constant itching due to chemicals being snorted, smoked, and shot in to their bodies. Meth eats you from the inside out.Or watched your loved ones DIE from it! Crystal Meth is just as addicting if not WORSE than heroin. This show has been compared to WEEDS. That is a joke.
AMC might as well have a show about your young daughters prostituting and shot in the arm with needles.
This is a gross gross thing to show on regular tv. At least WEEDS is on SHOWTIME or something, not on your normal tv channels at 10:00 at night!!!! When my 17 year old nephew is still up at night.
Time to cancel it now!
yeah jennsgala its really glorifying the life of a meth cook, maybe you should watch before you post a comment, dissolving a body and watching it fall through your second floor into your hallway, and having to go and finish off the other guy in the basement, and looking at going to prison for the rest of your life for cooking one single time, yeah its really glorifying meth
Just because there is something on TV doesn't mean that TV is glorifying it.
Should we only produce and watch shows about puppies and kittens and cute li'l five year olds?
Jennsgala, I cordially invite you not to have cable TV. No one is forcing you to write that check every month.
Not everything in the world is for stupid people. I will not have my popular culture dilluted because people don't understand that TV is a business not a babysitter.
And this is a compelling story about something that goes on in society. It needs to be examined, and this is a great forum for that.

THIS SHOW IS GREAT HOPE IT STAYS ON AIR....AS THE PLOT THICKENS I HOPE TO SEE MORE OF KRAZY 8!!!!
Anyone who thinks this shows sole purpose is to "glorify the use of CRYSTAL METH" is ignorant! Here's why:
It's just a tv show. If you can afford cable and hate like it don't watch it. Go turn on the Shopping Network and buy some crap you can't afford. Or simply block it with your cable box.
To assume every episode is going to have scenes of "illegal drug making" is short sighted and proves you are not qualified to watch the show. If he became a pimp next week then that would be something else for people to cry about.
The show is about a guy who did something bad once (so far) for reasons he believes is justified. No different than Tony Soprano. Matter of fact the Sopranos have more violence, sex, and drug use than any show on tv yet they won awards year after year.
Breaking Bad seems like its more about Walter getting out of trouble than him getting into trouble. We'll just have to wait and see.
For those of you crying about the pot smoking did you ever consider it to be for medicinal purposes?
If your wondering about your kids seeing it like I said block it or watch it with them and talk about it like real parent. For all you know they are probably using right now drugs anyway.
But I guess that would make too much sense Oh well, you can alway blame tv for them making dumb decisions instead of taking the blame for sucking as parent or guardian.
OK let me wrap this up. I never watch AMC but I like Bryan Cranston, I love the show and will continue to watch it. This is one of the top 5 shows on tv!
If you don't like the show don't watch it. Get a life and focus on some real issues. Once you find out what those issues are WRITE YOUR ELECTED OFFICIAL in Washington. Then maybe someone will care about what you have to say. Then again maybe not.
Note to cry babies: If you know anything about arbitron you know my opinion counts and yours doesn't. So Chill-ax and find something constructive to do.
Breaking Bad is an interesting show filled with so many surprises. I’ve never seen a TV show so intense, groundbreaking, and clever.
I love this show i cant wait to see the next show. It show the tru story on what happens when people are doing and selling crystal. It show the bad side of it murder, addiciton, family turmor over it. The best is still to come.
Although many others have already done this...I'm chiming in.
For those of you getting on some kind of high-horse about this show GLORIFYING meth:
You're idiots. The show is about THE UGLINESS OF GETTING INVOLVED IN METH! Haven't you people watched? There is nothing glorious about the life he is leading! It's not like he's rollin' a Bentley! He's driving that Aztec thing and by the way...HAVE THEY MADE ANY MONEY AT ALL?!?!? No! Because the whole thing went to hell in the first episode! Get it? The meth cooking ain't working, kids. His life is falling apart, not just because of his impending death, but because of this very bad choice he's made. Thats the entertainment of it. Not one character in that show glorifies the use of drugs. Even our little dealer boy is struggling.
This is a FANTASTIC show. It's not about the beauty of drugs, you freaks. AMC has made a wise choice with this one, and I will watch, religiously, til the end.
Bummer about the SB killing Sunday night for us, though.
Can someone tell me the names and artist(s) of the rap songs from the first episode, namely the one that's playing when Walt is on the ride along at the meth bust right before pinkman comes out the window? Someone told me they were by a group called mastersource, but i havent been able to find a single thing about them anywhere. Can someone please help me?
PS--This show is amazing. It pretty much does everything a good show needs to do to maintain it's viewers interest but without overdoing anything. PLEASE keep them coming this show is one of my favorites already.
@gms: There are four hip-hop songs that play throughout the episode, all by a group called Mastersource. The songs are "Cruisin," when Walt is caught by his students cleaning tires, "Dirty South Hustla" when the DEA team busts Capn Cook's meth lab, "A Gosar" when Jesse sells Walt's meth to Krazy 8, and "Get Low," when Jesse, Krazy and Emilio drive up to the RV.
Here's a link to a Breaking Bad post about the show's music:
http://blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad/2008/01/music-from-brea.php
Hope that helps!

Thanks, can you tell me where I can find their music by any chance? I really liked it but I can't seem to find anything by them at all
Being an educated, underpaid person can be frustrating. I relate to his need to take care of his family before he dies.
I just happened to come across Breaking Bad while I was channel surfing and haven't seen a show this good since HBO's "Six Feet Under". I'm totally engrossed with the characters and look forward to every Sunday at 10 pm to see what's new with the show. Thank you AMC for having a show like this and hopefully it won't die out after a year.

A New AMC Fan
First of all; all of you people that are saying that
kids shouldn't watch this "trash"-well DUH! It's for
adults! It says parental guidence or do you even
know how to parent? It is an excellent show. It is
very well written and acted. Location shooting is
expensive and the dp here does great work. It's as
good as any tv movie, a lot better than most
movies out there. It shows the downfall of drugs;
it doesn't "glorify" them. What show are you
watching? Or did you just watch the trailer and
decide to condemn it without even watching it?
This "dramedy" speaks to adults with wit and
intelligence. Watch the suitcase show, 5th grader
fluff or more bs idol junk if you don't want to use
your brain. I'll watch bb.
Entertaining and intriguing. Sorry 'Atruthless' if its too real for you. As for me, I work my ass off all week responsibly and religiously and have been doing that probably longer that you've been alive, so shut up and go back to the basement. Leave us mature folks alone with Walt and his world for a little fun without all the baggage of the 'real meth' world of yours. Thanks AMC for helping me thru the week! Its a Hit!
ps.
I might now be able to drop a few premium channels if AMC keeps this up...
This show careens from bleak to hilarious. This is my favorite episode so far.
You know the thing about the glorification of meth seems weird to me now since Walt's life keeps getting worse and worse and he's not even using. That said, his descent makes for riveting television.
It's not just his descent, look at Jesse: paranoid, wigging out, hanging out in crack dens. It certainly doesn't seem to me that his is a desirable condition...
this show in no way glorifys meth if anything its shown all the negative consequences, which is good not many programs today portray meth in that way it usually shows them snorting, smoking, and shooting meth while in a penthouse suite with some hot chicks, when in real life your in a TRAILER with some nasty, no teeth, anorexic crankwhore. ( i know from experience) i went to prison for 5 years for the shit, u think its all great when your on it, second u run out all HELL breaks loose just like the show shows. ill be a loyal watcher and the mature content is just enough any more and you would glorifying it.CANT WAIT FOR THE 4th SHOW
There are rarely any shows out there that capture my attention. I normally hate Sunday nights because, one, there is nothing to watch, and two, knowing that I have to work the next day. =) This show is something that I cannot wait the next day to watch on tivo, I have to watch at that moment once a new episode premiers. I am addicted!!! Thank you AMC for quality TV!
Before this blog breaks down into a math bashing forum -
Who cares about the drug aspect - ?
LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS INCREDIBLE SHOW!!!
I have never been so riveted by a TV show before. I am already thinking about the first season DVD box set. I agree with the above blogger - "If AMC keeps this up premium channels won't be needed" - all I can say is, what an amazing piece of writing by Vince Gilligan.
so - back to what I think blogs are supposed to be all about - internet conversation with substance.
OK I'll preface my first question - I'm not a criminal or a cop -
So here it is: What do they mean by "Somebody croaked our snitch."?
Was Krazy-8 the snitch that ratted out Capn Cook the first time?
Anybody with linguistics expertise about the world of snitches and cops - please let the rest of us know what this means.
This show has the potential for going the distance. I'm no TV expert - but this is what TV is supposed to be! This show is different, unusual, and interesting! Thank you AMC for giving Vince Gilligan a place to outlet his creativity.
By the way - Aruthless - go down to your local community college and sign up for English 101 - you too crippledkid - because, damn. Oh, and Krazy-8, he's dead, so his Meth career was glorified by Vince Gilligan... Right? THINK PEOPLE!!!!
I can't wait until next week. See you all next Sunday - I don't usually blog, but I am very impressed with Breaking Bad, so what the hell...
@Geb: Re "croaked our snitch," that's exactly how I read it. Of course I have no idea if that's the case, but it sure made it sound like Krazy 8 was the CI (to use the parlence of the Wire). I guess that makes us feel less bad that he's dead now, huh?
Jesse's band's name is "TwaughtHammer"
Watch episode 2 on line and pause it on his
"myshout" page.
When Gomez says "they croaked our snitch", who is "the snitch" supposed to be?
@babydoll: We've been talking about that in the Talk forum. A lot of people, myself included, are speculating the snitch is Krazy 8, which would be, well, CRAZY! Check it out:
http://blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad/talk/2008/02/breaking-bad-ep.php#comments
I assumed the snitch was Krazy Eight's cousin, since he was the one who had been arrested. I have to think more about it now.
I can't see how this is glorifying meth use? Marriages are disolving, characters are having to dispose of dead bodies, and everyone is trying to dance around getting caught. My 17 year old daughter who watches this with me thinks its hillarious, however has enough sense to know these are not the choices she would ever make for her own life. I have also had the heartbreaking gutwrenching experience of living with another daughter who made the mistakes of crystal meth. The gift in that situation was she became schizoeffective survived it and was treatable. It could have as the series shows each week turned out very very badly. She thankfully learned from it and recovers a day at a time and it taught us all a great deal about how the family system works and ourselves individually. I think if we allow Breaking Bad to open up the dialogue in the family system and not be so afraid of it we could learn alot about ourselves. Again, thank you AMC for having the courage to take on such a timely and ugly if you will topic with humour and grace under pressure. Keep up the terrific work!
lady Di 1959
@lady Di: Thank you for sharing that story. I think you hit at the heart of the show. I think, ultimately, the show is a character study, not a morality tale. But there is no way you could look at it and think to yourself, maybe meth isn't so bad. Our nation is throwing billions of dollars into fighting the wrong drug war while this meth is eating it apart from inside. I say bravo to a show that has the courage to present it in a digestible format that still gets the point across. Heartfelt congratulations on your daughter's recovery.
I cancelled HBO Friday cuz the only series worth watching is this one. I'll pocket the cash and save up for the DVD's of Walt and his wacky world.
I am still loving this series! I haven't missed a week yet and I even watch the encore presentations. Once again, let me say this is one of the best shows in years. I can't tell enough people to watch it. Keep up the great writing and acting. You've got a hit on your hands.
Four incredible shows...
It turns out Krazy8 was the snitch - and the druggies think Emilio "skipped town". After Krazy8's death - we can only imagine that Walt took care of the body - correctly this time. Jesse better get that bloody hole in the floor fixed soon because it doesn't look very pleasant to his guests...
What direction can they take from here - Walt becomes the next Kingpin? Jesse is getting a job?
Thank you Vince for making this show.
Can someone please tell me what happened on episode 3? Saw 1,2,4, but did not get a chance to watch 3 nor the replay. Just a brief summary; what happened to the meth dealer they bicycle-locked to the basement support lol? Did they finally kill him/ what major things happened?
ps very cute pic artsychick75 :)
@bek7567: There are full epsiode recaps on the Breaking Bad Main Page: http://www.amctv.com/originals/breakingbad/episode3
This may be kind of a stupid thing to ask or wonder, but what did Walt do with crazy8's body. It just shows him killing him and that's it. I guess that's all we need to know huh!
What the CRAP! doesn't anyone at this network know how to put more episodes on the internet? why only 1 and 2. Now they say comment on episode 4...Come on not everyone can be up at 10pm to watch...why even put 1&2 on the internet if your not going to release any others...?
Do I have to get a recorder? or just stop watching...or should I say stop looking to watch this show anymore?
Come on guys...
I have some advice for the "creator" of this garbage, as well as for the management of AMC. Why don't you "create" a new series, this time a documentary on your personal use of crystal meth. I am sure we would all be entertained as we watch your life and sanity unravel before our eyes. In the meantime, why don't you "create" another series, this one about your mothers and grandmothers being repeatedly gang-raped by crystal meth addicts. You could also "create" a spin-off about your children and grandchildren enjoying the pleasures of crystal meth addiction.
I cannot believe AMC has fallen to this level. I have deleted you from my cable "Favorites" list and will NEVER watch your channel again until I hear a public apology and the current programming management is terminated. You obviously know nothing about crystal meth or you are getting your stories from scumbag dealers who inhabit your social network. I hope you all become their best customers. God damn you all.
@adams: Sorry for the misunderstanding. The first two episodes were kind of a one-time thing. Fortunately BB is available On Demand through your cable provider. It's also available for download through iTunes, or Unbox (amazon.com's download service).
We're so sorry for the inconvenience, but hopefully you'll be able to watch through one of these other means.
Hope this was helpful!
to cjx2000. I feel so sorry for you. You are so
full of hatred.
This a forum for a tv show.
A very well written, well acted show but still
just a tv show.
this show is the bomb
HEY, I DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE CAUGHT THIS BUT WHEN JESSE STEPPED ON THE JOINT THAT HIS LIL BROTHER HAD,HE SAID IT WAS JUST SKUNKWEED AS IF IT WASN'T ANY GOOD.. I'M MIDDLE AGED NOW BUT WHEN I WAS A TEEN,SKUNK WEED WAS CONSIDERED REAL HIGH QUALITY.. JUST THOUGHT I'D THROW THAT OUT THERE!!!
to cjk2000 why does the blame always fall on the show or networks that "display " what society has created instead of being pissed at what is really happening in cities all over the world maybe if parents sat watched this with thier kids it might open both of thier eyes
Check out this video. It's a REAL LIFE story about a man dying of cancer.
Here's the link.

cjx2000 sounds like they are addicted to stupidity. Maybe they will write a show about that and this butt plug can watch it.
this show has got to be one of the most intense new shows on tv in a while! way to many haters out there. this show is bout it. (big shots) not to be tested!!!
This show is fantastic! I look forward to it every week. Everyone involved with this show, completely ignore the whiners. Don't ever give into any pressure to censor yourselves. Emmys for everyone!
yep; Emmys for everyone ! This is a great show; with great acting.
This last episode was excellent! I thought #5 was a little slow. It gave more insite on the plot but it kind of fell flat. Episode VI came back with a vengence, giving the viewers a look at the crazy journey Walt is going take us on. This by far was the best one yet. Keep it up.
I just can't take it anymore! I never write in about shows that I like, for some reason...and this show is just off the hook! The treatment of such subject matter, and how each episode evolves into something I would NEVER guess into which it would evolve...it's spectacular!!
So Kudos to all running this show! Special kudos to Cranston -- from "Malcolm" to this, you must be having a helluva time with this, man!
AAACK! Can't wait until next week!
to cjx2000.
Your an idiot, so go watch something you can handle!
This show hits home. I recently lost my mom to cancer. It's sad to see him do treatment that he doesn't really want. Best show since deadwood!!!
hello,
i am anna, and i really wanted u to know how
much i really love your show!!
i had to sign in a million times but its worth it!!
soo i think it is a very great and sucssesful
show.. i love it!!
the theme of it its great, even the fact that its drug
related... those are the kind of shows i watch, but u guys did it way better!!!!!!
it keeps me on my feet! =)
keep up the excellent work!!!
and i hope to see many many more episodes!!
get back at me!! =)
To all you "Negative " people out there can it. It's just a friggen show. My god.How bad was the Soprano's and they have it now on cable. If you don't like it, simply DON'T WATCH IT!!! I've dealt with these things too. My brother was a heroin addict for 10 yrs, my sister 4yrs. GET OVER IT.
To the producer - excellent. I haven't ever seen a show yet that I HAVE TO watch. I anticipate sunday nights at 10pm. Great characters.
Aaron Paul - you are soooooo gorgeous. I'm sure I'm not the only woman to say that and you most likely have the most beautiful women knockin down your door, but if you ever come to Pennsylvania, I would LOVE to meet you.
the show is excellent guys.
OK what is this terrible show. First of all, there are real people that have drug problems and seeing it played out like this on TV is not very good for them ot society. This is really a terrible idea for a show, is it not bad enough the characters are promoting drug use, now we have to watch this guy run around in underpants? Man, these AMC origionals are something to be desired.
is this show over after this week's episode, or will it start again next season?
For those people who think this show is bad. Turn off your TV or change the channel. As you can see you are way out numbered. I am sure AMC will have a lot more viewers than people that won't watch their channel. I have talked to many people and every one I know or tuned to the show LOVE IT, including my 71 year old mother that got me watching it.
This is a response to "concernedmom". I am sorry to here that you have a terminal illness, however, if you read the statement at the beginning of the show, you would see that it CLEARLY states adullt content, and that it does not recommend minors to view the show. As a Mother myself, I take on the responsibility to monitor what my children see onTV. Yes, I agree that TV is impressionable, that is why my children would never see this show. My husband and I have watched every episode and love it. We don't condone the making or selling of any illegal drug but if you really watch the show and get to know the characters, you would see that drugs are not the main topic of the show. They certainly don't glamorize the lifestyle, if anything, it does the complete opposite. They have brilliantly captured the realness of the consiquences that come with "breaking the law". My question to you is Have you ever seen South Park, Family Guy, Drawn Together...? Point is, it is up to PARENTS to monitor what their children watch and maybe you should watch all the episodes with more of an open mind and then decide how you feel. If not, this blog insures tons of fans so whether you like it or not, I don't think the show is going anywhere. BREAKING BAD KICKS ASS, CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 2!!!!!!!!
THIS IS THE BEST SHOW ON TV! damnit the actors are great, Bryan deserves an emmy. I wait all week to watch it and it is the only show on TV that i watch. I am super bummed about the season ending, the strike screwed everyone up here in so cal. Looking forward to next season and thanks for finally putting a good show on TV!! you guys are awesome....
Great show.
I don' think this show is glorifying any drugs at all. Throughout the season we have seen as Walt has stayed behind the scenes on the streets and had no interaction with the selling of the meth. But in the last 2 episodes he gets face to face with the reality of it all.
In the last scene of the season finale we see Tuco snorting meth then beating the shit out of his "bodygaurd" or whatever, and the closeup of shock on Walt's face is like a slap in the face of what this drug can do to people. I think (if the show hopefully returns) that the show will start to show how meth actually effects people.
Was concernedmom serious? What kind of a nut lets their kids watch a show like this? There are plenty of great kid’s shows and family friendly shows. This show is great for adults who want something different from the usual sitcom, Crime/Cop show, reality TV - actually this seems more reality than any of those anyway. And who in their right mind would think that this glorifies drugs and that lifestyle? More like horrifies than glorifies. It shows how close it is to main stream American, and how truly horrible it is. I am hooked but I have to admit that after I watch an episode I have to chase it with a TiVo'd episode of Scrubs to bring me back down. This show is different and that alone makes it interesting and worth watching. And I love, love, love Bryan Cranston, he is so amazing as Hal and as Walter. Remember him in Seinfeld, he was great then too!
MORE, MORE, MORE...!!!!
LIKE TUCO SAID: "SEE YOU NEXT WEEK"
(WHEN ARE YOU GONNA FEED US MORE)
to cjx2000- I'm in a "people business". I meet a lot of good people and a lot of morons. You are a moron.
Raise Hell Walt and live again!
i dont know why people are against kids watching this show im in middle school and i understand this show extreamly well maybe im more mature than a 4th grader yes to a certain age small kids should not watch the show but im a teen and i got all my friends to watch the show and they love it too and i can actually relate to this show in so many ways. anyways i can understand small children staying away but teens can understand it and enjoy it take it from one.
love it
Don't know how they made human remains dripping from a ceiling funny, but I found myself laughing hysterically at that scene. THE ACTING IS EXCELLENT!!! Best show since Six Feet Under ended. It's "The Odd Couple" on Crystal Meth....
Or maybe a better summary would be The Odd Couple meets Falling Down!
I Love this show, I didn't know it was the finale for season been checking on Demand for more episodes. Keep up the good work.
I just gotta comment on those viewers/commenters whom are outraged that "they're expected to watch a guy in his underwear" and moms that are gonna tell other moms not to let their kids watch. WTF. Seriously, no, you do not have to watch a guy in his underwear, why are you watching something that offends you so deeply . . . here's what you do, read carefully now; turn the channel.
Concerned Moms; Tell all the other moms that this is not for children. There's a warning at the beginning that reads "Adult Content". There's plenty of pop culture dumbed-downed crap for your little darlings to watch that is made just for them. Why would you even consider letting them watch an adult themed cable show?
AMC; Finally! I've been paying for cable for all these years, but could never afford HBO. BB is the gritty & edgy caliber of programming that I'd expect to see on the premium channels. Rock on AMC! BB is one of the few times I actually got my cable money's worth. I just recently found BB - I've missed quite a few eps - how do I catch up?
Great first season. Hurry back!
Can't wait till season two!
Wow. Having dealt with losing my wife to cancer I thought this might be a bit much. Loved this even if it did bring back painful memories. Walt said "It is what it is" - I've said that many times myself when asked how you deal with this. But I do find the humor, though black is great.
My compliments to doing your research. Thank you for having the guts to allow us to watch your program! Great work all around - to everyone involved. I can't thank you enough.
Well, To say the least I am so elated ... I love the show !!! It keeps me tuned in every episode !
I must say i was starting to worry that there would be no more " Breaking Bad" .. A show which I must say when tried to discuss it with others , had no knowledge of it.
I just can't wait to see the next episode !! I used to wait all week until sunday to watch it , and never missed a episode .
It impresses me how much research went into the show , to make it so acurate!!!
Thank you so much guys !!!!
PLEASE TELL ME WHEN TXPISODE AIRS !
I' LL BE WAITING

WOW!! FANTASTIC news!! My husband and I looked forward to EVERY Sunday night to catch the next addicting episode of Breaking Bad. WE LOVE THIS SHOW and we do not watch much TV but this show is FANTASTIC!! We cannot wait to see SEASON 2!!!
Frog, yo. Skunk has been puncked. Love BB
can't wait for second season
How could anyone think BB glorifies drugs? Did you not see the tweekin hookers teeth? Did you not see Tuko's uncontrolable rage each time he tried the tweek? Who would want to be like that?
Turn of the tube and go read your bible. This stuff is so real, if my kids were up, they would be turned off by the drug culture.I've got people in high places and have just as many in low places. Every one involved in this show deserves an emmy!
This series isn't glorifies drugs, weeds does. and anyways I say let everyone smoke whatever he wants and i'm not a freakin hippie or something. If people are free let them to be free to ruin their lives. And I love this series btw :) .
The anticipation is drug enough for me. Summer Sunday's are just not the same w/o Walt et al. Love the quizzzs 2 .
To all those 'concerned Moms"....may I remind you that originally cartoons were only meant for adults, but eventually handed down to young tots to watch as long as they added some humor to it??... it was okay??? May I also remind you of Disney characters in shows that are now prancing around in the news in drugs, alcohol and deviant behavior plastered all over the newspapers and internet. This series is meant for ADULTS, and if you wish to try and explain to your children what drugs are all about, kudos to you. Most families CHOOSE DENIAL ABOUT DRUGS...."my little Johnny and Susie would NEVER use drugs"..well wake up because drugs are everywhere and eventually your son or daughter will be tempted to try it at least once, but this series shows the CONSEQUENCES OF THOSE ACTIONS! I have learned raising my two sons, now fully grown with their own children, whatever they do, good or bad, there is ALWAYS A CONSEQUENCE FOR THEIR ACTIONS. This series does prove that principle, only without the bible thumping, shoving ideas and theories down their throats..that method doesn't work with today's adolescents and young adults. This series is a means to portray what can happen if one is not responsible. Plain and simple. You, being the concerned Mom better find a way of explaining just how crazy that world is out there to your children, and learn to protect themselves amongst drugs all around them. Rather than preach and preach, lecture to deaf ears, you have to reach their minds in a sense they WILL listen and fully understand. Maybe this series is a catalyst for you to begin trying to explain, because its in color, on the screen and its usually the method children listen to best and are influenced by the messages that the screen portrays. Yes, it has violence, Yes, it talks about drugs, Yes it has gratitious sex, Yes, the characters are acting illegal and immoral, but what a way to show what the consequences are if they dapple in such deviant behavior..look what happens to them...much more effective than plain old preaching...they just might listen this time.
