I feel I understand just about everything in the series except one thing, and I can't find any discussions on it: the tunnels. In episode 3, 1112 tells 6 that he killed 909 because what they do to dreamers is too awful to describe. They send the dreamers to The Tunnels. The little girl was sent there too. 6 went and saved 313. Then he woke up in his bed. and I wasn't sure if it had really happened.

Here's my question: if the Village is a form of therapy, then why do the people being treated need to go to treatment? And if the Village is to help people that are suffering, why would you help those people by torturing them in a tunnel that is too awful to even speak about? What is the tunnel? How does it relate to the real world?

When a person kills themselves or are being killed, it means they're waking up because they no longer need the Village. Ergo, if "dreamers" wanted to leave, why not "kill" them so they can go home? Why punish them instead?
Oh, and how did 6. 313. and the girl escape?

I would love to hear anything you have to say about this.

Hapless heterosexual that I am, I might seem a poor choice to rank the sex appeal of these nomads of the frontier. But I do have a clue into why women find them so attractive -- and it's not the ever-present perfume of cow manure that lingers upon their manly frames. Let's take a look at the silver screen's greatest studs...

Jack Twist (Jake Gyllenhaal) in Brokeback Mountain (2005)
The conventional heartthrob of this movie might be Heath Ledger as Ennis Del Mar (After all, Ledger starred in Casanova.) Ah, but exactly who seduced whom?! All it took was a pint of liquor and a few knowing glances for Twist to entice Del Mar's curiosity. Gyllenhaal clearly is something of a Don Juan himself, even if he doesn't look the part -- let's chalk up that mustache he sports in the movie's second half to a temporary lapse in judgment.

Maverick (Mel Gibson) in Maverick (1994)
Women like to laugh. Unfortunately, most cowboy jokes center on beans and farting -- so how refreshing it must be when a stranger comes along to lighten the mood with a little irony. That man is Bret Maverick, a gambler who always has a joke or two up his sleeve. It isn't much of a risk to bet that by the end of this movie, Maverick's ample charms will melt the heart of ice queen Annabelle Bransford (Jodie Foster).

Among many of the questions Season 3 left hanging was whether Don fought harder to keep Peggy in his life than he did his own wife. Commenters had different theories as to why that might be.

really Dick. Betty was a person Dick needed to become Don." -- 60'schild

• "Don doesn't know how to save a marriage or even be in one. He knows only what advertising tells him what a marriage is." -- 485Madison

So which team are you on? Team Jacob? Team Edward? Team What-the-Heck-Is-He-Talking-About? Whichever side you choose, there's no denying that Twilight is a sensation. Except... There's nothing here we haven't seen before. Think The Coreys. Think Luke Perry. It's all just a wash of screaming, crying prepubescent girls. So if you feel like Twilight fever will never end, take a look back at the biggest tween sensations of the last decade or so. Take solace: Nothing lasts forever...

1. Twilight (2008)
Every couple of years, tweens get all excited up about vampires again. First, there was The Lost Boys. Then, there was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This time around, it's Twilight. The first Twilight movie rocketed Robert Pattinson to dreamboat status. This weekend, he's back...and dreamier than ever.

2. High School Musical (2006)
Drop the snide comments about High School Musical 3. The first movie in this song-and-dance bonanza rates as the biggest where-the-heck-did-that-come-from success in recent movie history. The second one counts as an equally surprising, how-the-heck-did-they-do-that-again. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are now household names. Now that's tween power!

After watching the miniseries' conclusion, commenters discussed the nature of The Village, debated whether Michael/Six's decision to replace Two was justified, and wondered if Two was in fact a villain for creating The Village.

"A sad ending and commentary. Michael, who represents individuality and personal freedom -- however flawed -- is finally seduced by the chance to be God. And by doing so will take others' individuality and personal freedom from them. Like his predecessor Two, he will eventually use tyranny to subjugate the others into his 'vision of perfection.'" -- DJT

"Six's downfall, like Two said before, is that Six feels he can do a better job and make a perfect world -- a perfect Village -- which was Two's intention from the beginning. This show much like the original is steeped in philosophy, so anyone looking for a concrete answer is going to be disappointed." -- Max

"Essentially, The Village isn't real. But it is, in a sense. That is, the people in The Village are ALL experiencing this phenomenon, and it has bearing on their real life. But they aren't physically in a different location, just in the subconscious of Two's wife's mind. Basically this show is all about symbolism and ideas of humanity." - 6

A deeply touching and personal family drama... but a little plot would've been nice.
Vastly better than the original Twilight, but still dragged down by a vapid story.
Port of Call New Orleans - Herzog and Cage make for a baffling combo in this lost remake.

When it comes the greatest half-human monsters, vampires have always been the clear favorite. Dracula or the Wolf-Man? Dracula, obviously. But things in the monster pantheon may have changed thanks to Twilight franchise's Taylor Lautner. The level of tween-squealing over Lautner's teen wolf has begun to rival that of his fanged co-star Robert Pattinson. Which has us wondering...
